Need feedback or insight on a potential sandbox game where you collect candy

Hey Everyone, just want to send out a really rough prototype.
It sounds a bit funny, but the idea I had was inspired from an episode from an old cartoon I watched when I was younger :

I think it could cook more in the oven. The core idea of the game is to collect candy from houses (the world is in a perpetual state of Halloween). The candies you get are basically a form of currency to purchase cosmetics and some things to do.

A general idea I want to make with this game is just to have a fun and casual time with friends. Grind candies to get special cosmetics you want, and pay to do stuff like playing small simple games. Think of it like using candies as quarters at an arcade / going to a carnival. Things like a ring toss, corn maze, etc..

Right now it's networked for local play and you just collect candies for now, but would love to hear some feedback or suggestions on the idea and maybe how you would go about monetizing and planning for content. I am just working on this game by myself right now.

Here is the game link (there are install instructions provided):

is the gameplay of your game to follow the shining box and litteraly wait? when is it supposed to be fun?

The game isnt done yet. It's just the general idea of having that waiting for specific candies and using it to buy you things. I've been thinking about it for a bit and I think the scope was too much for now. Thanks for the feedback though.

I would rethink the candy collection.
How about adding the ring toss, corn maze, and other mini game ideas you have. I think a perpetual Halloween carnival town would be neat.  Maybe you earn candy by winning games and pranking neighbors. That could be interesting.

As for scope, start small and iterate. Try to build the ring toss first. That can be it's own game.
Good luck!
