Ren'Py upload failure: missing log.txt?

I’ve got a Ren’Py novel(-ette). I’ve made a Web build. I zipped the files that came out and uploaded the zip to itch.io. I clicked “This game will be playable in the browser.” I saved.

When I click View page—> Play, I get “All downloads complete. Warning: cannot save games” and an endlessly spinning buffer thingy.

If I click the hamburger in the upper left (Import saves; Export saves; Ren’Py log), selecting Ren’Py log tells me "Error opening /log.txt" I don't see a log.txt in my pre-zipped files. Where does this file come from? Or is there another problem elsewhere?

Ren'Py 7.4.8.1985 for Mac OS

Thank you!

This appearly happens in many HTML games with save features, the log.txt is a file to  be used for PC versions and you wanted to open it on a browser that does not support text files. You may want to look into your save code and see if the renpy program hasnt changed anything to android or another program.

Thanks for responding. I don't know how to read the save code; I only know how to select the build button and click it. Maybe updating my version of Ren'Py will help. I haven't been able to find any other posts about this problem.
