Bug report - Random player loss on starting game.

I'm sometimes seeing an immediate loss for me on starting the game. After selecting the avatar and opponents, I start the game and immediately get a "You lose..." message with an item removed from me, without having played a hand. Sometimes it credits me with a fold win ($50) or a double up fold win  ($100), sometimes I get nothing. It seems totally random.

Developer

If you pick an avatar with more than 3 garments, the avatar will undress at the beginning of the game until they have exactly 3 clothes left.  That should happen silently though so if you are seeing messages about it then something else might be wrong.

I'm guessing the extra money you are seeing is a different thing entirely. Some players can start with extra cash to make up for their lack of clothing. (Rosie in the lounge is one).   I'll patch that when I get a chance. Avatars shouldn't get the extra cash.

Do you remember the exact player lineup you had in the games when this happened?

This happened to me with crystal in the beach scene a few times and denise in the beach scene once too. Btw I was wondering - will you let us pick the order we strip the three clothes we have (like bra or panties first) and if we lose will we eventually be able to perform the finales on ourselves?

Developer

If there are images for the different orders, it will let you pick your own undress order. Just like it you already could with John.

As far as finales go, nope. No self-finales.  But your avatar should be able to participate in a duo finale with the NPCs if the NPCs have one?  I haven't tested it out though.

yea they do do work duo finales

I believe I was testing out my coffee nook models as avatars. I 'think' it happened with Shawna... can't be sure... I'll run some tests.

Developer

Aha I figured it out. I did see it happen once, too.  When starting a fresh game with an avatar that was an NPC in the previous game, their last action choice is still set. At least I think that's what it was. It's hard to make happen on purpose. Should be fixed in the next release, assuming I guessed right.

Bad news: I found and patched two extra bugs while I was at it, so saving and reloading a game can no longer net you an extra $50 sometimes, and playing Rosie in the lounge also won't give you that extra $50 starting cash.

Here's your bug-finding bounty!   A sneak preview of John's beach composites. Now he literally  has skin in the game.

So does this mean guy-girl finales in the future?

Developer

It's technically possible now, but I'm not planning on adding any hardcore Guy-Girl scenes to the main game any time soon, and probably not ever.   Maybe some lighter stuff like lap dances or spanking? Maybe.  Come to think of it, there are 3 male avatars so that's either triple the renders or 1/3 of the coverage, so, probably not even those. Also John is based on the older Michael 7, he looks fine from behind at a distance, but he might look a bit dated up close.

That being said, if you want to go for it in your own sets, that's up to you.  All the pieces are there.  John is included in the render toolkit.

I have no inclination or intention to add guy-girl finales either. I like the current range of scenes, nude/masturbation/girl-girl.  I'm happy to show fully frontal male avatars in composites for immersion, but that's about all I care for. As Eldricus says, the tools are there for people to create what they want, so each to his own

Well it's not going to be full frontal if he's facing away from the camera, but from where I stand that's not a bad thing.

The added benefit here is now there's up to 5 people around the table and a quasi-guaranteed spot where someone will always be up front, so it's a lot easier to avoid the "player looking at no-one at all" awkwardness in the composite shots.

Oh, is the 3 item limit for players now hard-coded so that you can't adjust it for a difficulty setting?

Developer

Correct. All NPCs chosen as an avatar will lose clothes until they have only three left.   (if they had "modesty", that's the first thing to get pruned)
