Max number of files exceeded (but not actually)

I am trying to upload my game,  which I created using phaser 3. When I upload a zip folder containing the HTML file and assets, I am getting the following error:

There was a problem loading your project:

Too many files in zip (1202 > 1000)

Please try deleting the ZIP file and uploading another one.

It says there are over 1000 files in the zip, but by my count, there are barely over 100 files. The size of the zip folder is below 300MB. I've seen similar questions to this, but in those cases the zip folder actually exceeded the maximum amount, so I thought this warranted a new post.

Any idea whats going on?

Best,

Alex

When you look at the files in the folders, have you confirmed there are no “hidden” files that are not visible by default?

You are absolutely right. There was a .git folder hidden which contained a ton of files. I removed it and was able to successfully upload. Thank you!!
