I don't know which one is better please anyone help me get out of this confusion.

If you like platformers - choose Pico-8.

If you like RPG - choose Tic-80.

They are almost the same platforms but with different prices.

BUT I think that Pico-8 is better

PICO 8 has more functions, which can be useful if you know how to use them
but TIC 80 has no limitations.

also TIC 80's music editor is way better and as it is free and they both are literally the same in terms of code, it's a great way to start with tic-80 before going to the most popular one

I think TIC-80 edges out PICO8 a bit. TIC80 has much more hackerish styling like being able to edit and swap the palette. The ability to have more sprites. Code editing in wide-screen is soooo much better than the small square, along with having upper and lower case letter...but PICO8 has the code tabs which would be a nice feature. Though bookmarks help in TIC80 code management still needs a bit of work. PICO8 also has the bigger community and better wiki. It also has some built in LUA functions to make them easier to access.

It comes down to which you prefer using really...at least with TIC-80 you don't have to put any money on the table.
