Good HTML5 game engines?

Hi! I'm SUPER new to this site and was wondering if there are any other good game engines for HTML5 other that the one that I'm using right now, Phaser, or is that one good for learning and developing?

There are a lot of game engines that export to HTML5. Or are you looking to code in JavaScript? I know phaser is pretty popular.

Language doesn't really matter to me, but I don't have a lot of experience, so something simple would be the best, though so far,  the biggest challenge I've faced with phaser is setting up a project!

You might have some luck with a fantasy console like PICO-8 or TIC-80. Both have self contained developement projects that are really easy to get started with, and they can export to HTML. The only disadvantage is that they're intentionally limited so they might not be appropriate for what you're trying to make. We have a guide about fantasy consoles here: https://itch.io/blog/5733/your-field-guide-to-fantasy-consoles

Thanks, but I think I got myself going in phaser, just trying to find out how game states work.

Construct 2 might be what you're looking for.
