Fun, but can't progress?

I enjoyed the first level of this game, but after I complete it the game seems to indicate that I've successfully beaten it but doesn't unlock any later levels. I'm on MacOS 10.15.7 if that helps. The leaderboards also seem to not be able to connect, though the MoTD and patch notes work so it's not a network issue.

Hello whereswalden, thank you for checking out our game! We have found the cause of this issue and will release an update early next week with a fix. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention!

Oh and in the meantime, if you want to keep playing I would recommend launching the game from the official launcher: This bug seems to only occur if you download the standalone version.

If you are still not able to progress after opening it from the launcher, you may need to delete your save file located in: Users/<your name>/Library/Application Support/Finite Reflection Studios/Containment

Thanks for the quick fix!

Got this game as part of the bundle for Ukraine. Ran into the exact same issue, I get "success" but no level unlocks.

The game seems fund but is completely broken at the moment.

So sorry about this, its an old project and maintaining it is a bit of a hassle. We'll get the standalone fixed again, but in the meantime you should be able to progress if you launch it through the itch app (

Thanks for buying the bundle for Ukraine and thanks for letting us know about the issue!

UPDATE: it is fixed. We also updated the build to include some new features previously only available in our Nintendo Switch release, so the game is a bit more communicative of the core mechanics. Thanks again for reaching out!

Hello, could you also fix this on the Penguin version? Pretty please.

Thank you.

You are the best. Appreciate the work. Now I feel a little bad that none of the money I've paid for the bundle won't get to you. I'll probably buy something from you. Or is there a way to donate?

I think you can just buy it anyway e.g.

You can always buy any of our free games and provide a donation you feel is appropriate! We appreciate the love <3 (but also appreciate money, because rent is real)

Done. It ain't much but... I really appreciate nice and diligent creators.
