You can change your email address on your account settings page. If that's not working for you send us an email to support@itch.io with more information. If you have that email set as a secondary email then you'll need to remove it before setting it as primary.
Yup...having it as additional was blocking me from changing it. Would be nice to just check on the email to have it become the primary rather than delete and re-enter.
