Hey friendos,
I'm working on a non-combat adventure RPG set in the future that mixes science fiction and fantasy elements. It's the story of Kara, a rough-around-the-edges poverty stricken woman who ends up owning her own spaceship at the expense of a life of debt. A story rich and character rich game which focuses on emergent storytelling through the use of space encounters that alter life on the ship. Meet people in space, via the random encounter system, who will then join your ship, get their own rooms and stories and change YOUR story. Manage resources like chitcoin, fuel, oxygen, ship parts, and ship condition in order to get the fullest possible experience and navigate your way to your dream of visiting Jupiter Station on a journey that takes 10 days, each day bringing it's own crisis and challenges.
The game is currently in early development and I'm currently working on a demo. It's pretty much feature complete, but it needs more polish and content. The plan is to make the demo its own little game so anyone who plays the demo won't feel like they're playing a demo but rather a short game. You'll be introduced to the mechanics, encounter your first crisis and resolve it and have a more fulfilling feeling.
If you're interested, please feel free to follow my itch page, or Twitter, or both! I'll try to post regular devlogs to keep people updated. I'm still new to itch (older account, newly active) so I'm still learning the ins and outs. It's my hope that, with support and feedback from my indie dev colleagues and indie game lovers, I can make 10 Days to Jupiter a truly stand-out experience.
