Whenever I try to run the game it says I'm missing app.data from the data file but I looked in it and it is there how do I fix this?
Some people have said the same thing. Are you using the Itch app or download the zip file?

Looks like you've not unzipped everything. There should be a sub-folder inside the zip folder called Autonauts_Data with lots of files inside that.
I extracted all the files and I can see the file your talking about but I've already extracted them they should be working fine but for some reason its not picking up some of the files
I'm just going to download the app and use that/ see if it works
