So i have been playing for a couple hours and im to the point that im ready to start up another operation in a better location the left side of my map shows a perfect area to do that but there is no way to get over any ideas?

At the moment there's no good way of doing this. We're planning on adding boats or bridges at some point.

There is one way you have to edit your save file to make a bridge manually but dont do that cause it would take you waaay too long figuring out wich tiles to change (i only changed the 1st tile from sand to grass to see if it works and it does)

now you have added bridges... there useless. because you cant place them on the black areas so you cant get across to the left or right side of map (they are only good for the one bit straight down from the spawn location. but then you can just go around).

Try clicking near shallow water where you can build with the bridge selected and dragging it towards the shoreline on the other side.

just click and drag but first build alot bridges in land after you built it delete it and rebuild again

Is there a way to rotate bridges? they will only go horizontal for me.

when you put two bridge parts next to each other they should automatically orient to join up correctly. So if you put one above another they'll become 'vertical'
