[Localization/Translation][English/Korean] [Free/Volunteer] Looking for projects

Hello!

I go by J, and I'm looking for an opportunity to participate in projects which need localization. I can provide both EN-KR and KR-EN translations.

As a beginner translator, I do not require any material compensation and will do translation at no charge(I won't say no to offers tho). However, I do have one request: I would like to be credited for my work, and I would be more than delighted if you could grant me the honor of listing your project in my portfolio, as I seek to do localization work professionally at some point in the future.

About me, I:

  • am a Korean native who has lived in an English-speaking country for 6 years+
  • have taught English for 3 years as a tutor

I can:

  • work with a schedule if needed, although it must be discussed beforehand
  • edit images to apply translation
  • help with research if Korean-specific resources are needed
  • help with social media management or any promotion, if it's in the plans
  • etc.

Some extra things that might be a plus in some cases:

  • Yes, I can translate meme-related content. I am very serious when it comes to translating these because I've been tormented by games with localization that miss out on these things ever since I remember.
  • Yes, I can translate otaku-related content. I'm not updated on all recent news, but I'm well versed in the area to know what's going on when there are references to these things.
  • I know how to not offend others. This might feel somewhat out of the blue, but trust me, this is a qualification that really needs to be taken more seriously.

Feel free to contact me, and I'll get back to you in a couple of days. It's fine if we don't end up actually doing something; a casual conversation is a nice thing too.

  • email : jenywithsinglen@gmail.com

Thanks!

I'd be open for teaming-up, could offer translation for german/english language, coding in html, scripting a story ...in case you'd like to try getting a project (game) shared with both of our nicks being credited, I'm generally on discord too if you'd like to get in contact (it's bit easier, e.g. noticing if the other user being online or offline, etc.)

Hi Crossfire271!

I never considered being in a team before, but it sounds pretty fun nonetheless. I’m not sure how things will work out though, so I’ll leave my discord here if you would like to talk about this further.
