I've been playing this game for a while. But I was wondering why do we have four slots that look like charm slots when you can only have one at a time. Or am I missing a key component of the game that allows me to put on more? If you have any information please let me know thank you.

They are talking about the charms you buy from the general goods dude. You can buy 1 armor and 1 power charm. You can then upgrade them both and buy another pair of the non upgraded ones and have all 4 equipped in your inventory.
