Isometric ramps design advice.

So I am working on harvester of worlds. It is isometric in style. I am working on cliffs, specifically on ramps for up and down.

I am looking for advice on how to make it look better. It looks somewhat okay but I do think there are ways to improve it. Any tips?

Would you be fine with a gradient and a color difference between levels?

The gradient does look nice but I am unsure with the color difference as what I am building is procedurally generated which will make it harder to say what the floor below looks like.

I think I might see how a gradient that flows in and then back out looks

I made the slope change in and then out.
