Hi,

My MMO space combat project is nearing online testing. Shooting for late this month. You can follow me on the Phoenix USC Itch.io page. Overall this project is about %60 complete but,  completed more then enough for online, head-to-head team-vs-team space combat to start happening. Fun time! :)

Some 2D light and shadow balancing going on here. Lightening the color palate of the floor texture brightens the scene, balances the scene light to shadow gradient, and allows me to reduce the number of lights used and increase performance. More images and info on my Itch.io project page.

Hi,

BFB - One shot but oh man. Initially each ship gets one of these. Takes a full charge to fire but inflicts radial damage.
Online testing starts soon.

Hi

Wild experimentation.. recommend it. :) Animated sprite worm / black hole effect. Just for fun but I may offer it as a visual option.

The worm hole effect is totally optional. Some will love it though.

Phoenix USC 2D ISO client at ultra-wide 5760 x 1080. I have a triple monitor setup. Fun to play at this wide.

Hi,

I have made quite a bit of progress lately adding turreting, spectating and an interactive ball. Each of these features are in the early phases of implementation but close to finished. I have included some images below illustrating turreting and and animated gif the interactive ball in action.

I will need to delay thing a couple/few more weeks. So very close, so stay tuned, things should pick up the pace of the next week or so..

Interactive Ball

One online player turreting another.

Working on a rocket trail. Sorta of a Tron light cycle effect for short rocket attacks. You can also see several interactive balls in play here.
