This is a platformer game and you have to pass all the levels to finish the game.

Dowload the game Here.

Have fun.

I like the concept of your game. Levels are challenging and keep the player wanting to play.

If I were to talk about the art , it deserves a 5 - star from my side. The sound and graphics fit in with each other perfectly.

I suggest working a bit on the start menu. Maybe, you can add a separate button for viewing the controls. Also, see if you can make a separate scenario for the background of the start menu. Last of all, try to add some scene transitions like fade in and fade out effects.

I hope the feedback helps you to improve the game.

Thank you for your feedback, yes I already plan to put transition effects. On the artistic side I use free assets except for the character xD. I will take your comments on the menu into account, I am currently developing more levels and I will add more effects for the next update.

Graphics are quite likeable, however gameplay-wise there was some sloppiness:

  • It seems turning around modifies hitbox as some times I would get hit when I turned away from spikes. If you are using sprite-based collision consider trying out traditional box-shaped hitbox.
  • When jumping just before dying the guy would jump upon respawn. Try waiting until space has been released.
  • S drops down, but down arrow doesn't.
  • Menus are controlled with mouse but in-game is keyboard only - logical would be to control menu with same controls as the game itself.
  • First level is way harder than second and third - maybe try easing players in before they quit in frustration.
