Thank you for playing Campus Magnum! If you encounter typos, bugs, or errors, please report them in this thread. I appreciate any help you provide.

hi! i noticed after a few plays that it'll say mark has won regardless of the actual winner and show 2 separate victory texts, the mark victory text and the actual victory text

Developer

Hey, Delusions. Great catch. It looks like I left in some code when I was testing Player 3's endings. I've removed it, and the game summary should be working as intended. Thanks for letting me know.

"Hey, it’s okay, $p1.nickname," you said as you resumed the rough finger -  I accepted a Multiplication Card and chose Mark: whisper was "Domination".

There was one where the Fixation/Exultation trait was "Undefined" and produced an error message.  I tried to recreate it but after 5-6 run-throughs couldn't find it again.

Developer

Thanks, j25union. I have fixed the first error. I've seen the second occur once or twice in the past, but I haven't been able to replicate it intentionally. I'll keep a lookout, and maybe another player will be able to find the cause. I think it might be a result of refreshing the browser mid-game, but I'm not sure. Thanks, again.

You're welcome.  Great game so far! I'm very eager to see where you go with it. Great writing!

I think the wrong ending is playing for when Mark wins while solar-aligned. He turns the other players into rugby players, but the summary says he's turns them into bubble-butted twinks, which I feel would fall more in line with solar alignment.

Developer

You're absolutely right, PrincePeace. From the looks of things, the issue was with Caleb declaring the wrong winner. I think it's fixed now. Thanks for letting me know.

Nope, ending is still the same. Caleb mentions that the solar-aligned Mark is the winner in the ending as well before Mark transforms us into the rugby players. I can link some screenshots if that would help?

Developer

Hmm, this is a tough one. You've definitely found a bug, but I'm just not seeing the problem in the code. This one might take me a little while to fix. I really appreciate how diligent you've been in documenting the problem. I'll get it figured out ASAP.

No problem. It's a good game, and I can tell you've put a lot of work into it. :-)

Developer (1 edit)

All right, I'm 90... ish percent sure I got it this time. After tweaking some lines, I was successfully able to get Mark's solar-aligned ending to trigger as intended. Once again, thanks for your understanding; you've been a big help. It should be good to go now.

Yep, I get the correct ending now too. Great work! Glad I could help.

Game won't launch.  : /

No Valid Storage Adapters found?  Could someone explain this to me?  I've tried to run it on windows, mac, and android so far.  Same error.

Developer (3 edits)

I think this may be an issue with the Twine engine when you run a game while your browser is in a mode that restricts access to the storage functionality. Usually, this is because your browser is in incognito mode. If not, you can try seeing if there's an update to your browser available, try running on a different browser, or enabling  cookies in either your browser settings or if prompted when visiting itch.io.

Found another glitch, sometimes when rejecting an Exaltation with Weakness from Caleb, it'll cause the game to glitch and not give any TFs, even if Caleb doesn't already have Weakness.

Also, on occasion it seems that the other players are giving each other physical transformations on Separation cards

Developer(+1)

Oh, all right. I'm going to roll back to a previous update until I get these fixed. Thanks, delusions.

Developer(+1)

Okay, I think I found the issue, and the latest version is back up. As always, you've been a big help. If you run into the issue again, please let me know. In fact, Caleb shouldn't be able to offer you "Weakness" at all. There's a couple others that shouldn't occur either. Your character can't accept "Stature" and Mark's can't accept "Pilosity."

There was a choice for Multiplication or Fixation between the two NPCs, but when the card was selected it showed up as a Dissolution card with the Salt effect. When I clicked on the character icon, it said that the Fixation card was selected, but it still had the Salt effect instead of the Mercury one.

Developer

Since another user observed a similar issue last night, I have been trying to recreate the event without success. If it occurs again, it would be a huge help if you could take a screenshot of the game and the affected player's description. I have made an adjustment to streamline things which may have the added effect of fixing this error. But if not, I think I will need more help finding the cause. Thanks for your help.

I also had the Caleb/Weakness error happen that delusions mentioned, he was able to send a card with Weakness to me.

Developer(+2)

Phew. After a dozen playthroughs or so, I was finally able to recreate (and fix) the Caleb "Weakness" error. The fix should be up in just a few minutes.

An inconsistency: Caleb is afflicted by uncontrollably horny, whatever the name of that was, and got Addicted. The end of the text says "It only takes a few minutes for Caleb’s high to wear off. And aside from him occasionally sneaking some of the cum out of his shorts and into his mouth, he seems back to normal." That shouldn't be possible given the previous story text.

There is a wardrobe inconsistency. There are multiple cards that forces you to take off your clothes or rip them apart, which can happen several times in a game.

Both Gustation and Inferiority always apply to Mark during turns that target Ethan.

Edit: Not sure which card it is, but Mark plays it, Caleb chooses Ethan, the Player selects either of the transmutations, and then it bugs and applies the effect to Mark.

Second edit: It's always a Sublimation card, and it doesn't matter who plays it, but Caleb's the one that chooses Ethan. I just got a turn in which Caleb played it, Mark rejected it, and then Caleb chose Ethan, and the Gustation transmutation still applied to Mark.

Developer(+1)

Thanks. I'll take a look.

Also, someone else mentioned that there's no truly "good" ending. I had the idea that, if you win the Sandbox ending, Ethan should be able to choose whether he remembers the previous game. From there, he can choose to stop Mark and Caleb from starting the game. Maybe Ethan then destroys the game before anything good or bad can happen.

Idk, just an idea to satisfy the masses.

Also, I updated the bug report.

Developer(+1)

This took me an embarrassingly long time to recreate and then fix, but the bug will be patched in the next update scheduled for the 1st.

Thank you!

And don’t worry- I’m probably the only player to try and give myself every sub trait without reaching the sandbox.

on browser when i try to play an error pops up saying something about no valid storage adaptors then goes to a black screen

(+1)

someone else mentioned this a while ago in this thread are you playing in incognito mode on your browser? Cause that is likely the issue.

im playing in normal chrome

(+1)

weird I'm playing in Chrome on my phone and it's running fine. Sorry I guess you'll have to wait for someone else to answer.

i found out the reason... 4mb(or gb cant remember) of cache data

(+1)

It's so easy to forget the basic fixes like just clearing out your cache and trying again right? Lol

(+2)

Hey there! noticed a typo in the description for Caleb after hes affected by Atomity. It says he comes up to your "waste"  instead of "waist"

(+1)

Not sure that this is really a glitch with the game, rather than some obscure itch store setting not being toggled, but I purchased the game during a sale earlier this year, and had access to the Sandbox version. I just tried to grab the update but the download page now only shows the basic version? I suspect it's due to the fact that because it was 50% off during the sale, I now count as not having purchased it over the minimum to get the Sandbox. Would appreciate a quick fix!

Developer

Hey, RecklessPrudence. Do you think you could DM me on Discord or TFgames? I've been trying to but I'm not sure I can resolve it with itch, but I can certainly make sure you receive what you're owed.

Hey BerylForge, I've found a bug when Atomity and Depilation are applied to Mark at the same time. Mark's description shows him having a beard despite the Depilation transformation having taken place. I checked the passage in SugarCube and noticed the variable checked by the if statements is $p1.hair rather than $p3.hair. Hope this helps!
