I'm looking for someone to help with programming in my FPS game; the game is being named "Facility 13". Here is a basic Synopsis:
SYNOPSIS:
The player will be playing as Private Carl Peterson, Carl has just woke up in a storage closet. The last thing he remembered was a huge earthquake which sent him tumbling over and a large crate fell on top of him and knocked him out. The facility alarm is depressingly loud, the player will need to find out what the heck is going on. The player must find their way to a squad that is held up in the nearby Kitchen, but there are zombies out there and a lot of them. The player must fight their way through the horde and secure their teammates.
Currently I have created the basic layout of the level (see picture below):

Okay so, you might be wondering "Why this layout?" Well it all started back when I was messing around with the gmod Hammer editor and made a map which I never published. And since I never published the map, I wanted to remake it in Unity. So, off I went making the layout which took me 2-3 days from what I remember. As you can see each room is labeled, I alternated the color a bit so you could tell it wasn't all just one area. The player starts at the "Start Area/Storage Room". And they need to grab a pistol which I will place on the floor. Once they grab the pistol they will continue through the door to the "Generator Cooling Room". Now you also might be wondering "Why would I put the generator cooling room right there in the form of a hallway?" Well I thought it looked cool (You'll see why in a few moments) And when the player walks through the door they will be greeted by this:
It might be hard to see from right here but at the end of the hallway are actually two bodies. And a lot of blood on the floor; the player should notice this immediately. When the player's character get's within view I plan on making him say "My God, what the h*ll happened here?" After this the player will continue through the next door and continue into Hall 1A, at the end of the hallway I plan on placing one zombie which will introduce the player to their enemy. The zombie will start walking down the hall towards the player and the player must eliminate the threat. Here is Hall 1A so far (zombie not yet implemented):
Following this first encounter the player will understand they are not alone here. The player should continue through the door to the right at the end of "Hall 1A", and proceed forth down "Hall 1B". At the end of "Hall 1C" the player will enter the dining hall:
Here the player will notice the two doors on the other side of the dining hall. The player has a choice here, through the door on the right is a Security Room and the player might be able to save one of the soldiers that are still alive in there. Although, there are also going to be about five zombies in there as well. If the player shoots the zombies and saves the soldier (I would like) the soldier to follow and help the player (more on that later). If the player chooses to ignore the cries for help then the player will enter Hall 1C, which I would like to place three zombies in. Down Hall 1C a bit and to the right you are greeted with this room, which at the moment is empty:
So, in the "TDB" Room I am thinking about keeping it the same as the original map I made in Hammer, but I don't have a 3D model of a Server Mainframe, so I'd have to make that soon. And I don't have a 3D model of the Generators. Originally (in the gmod map) this room was split into two rooms, one was a Server Room, and the other a Generator Room. At the moment I don't have the 3D models required to layout this room so this will have to wait. Now, back out and into Hall 1C and near the end the player will turn left under the damaged door (which is producing sparks).
Through this door is Hall 1D (nothing interesting here), and at the end of the entire Hall 1D is the entrance to the Kitchen which is where that squad will be located. When the player enters the kitchen it will spawn a horde of zombies from the hall in the middle of the kitchen (see the layout map). The player will have to help the soldiers defend themselves against the horde of zombies. After that one of the Soldiers will say some "one-liner". I'm still deciding what I want them to say. The only things I really need help on is the following:
- Scripting the Animation System (working with mecanim).
- Help finish the gun scripts.
- And help me Program the AI.
To see the scripts I have so far, you can look in the Facility 13 Github. This is only planned to be a short single-player game, nothing too fancy. I can't offer payment at the moment, but if you're looking for something to add to your resume; Or, you are wanting to work with another person for the first time (this would be my first time working in a team) I believe this would be a good choice. The game is planned to be a free game, but who knows things might change.
