AAUUGGHHH!

You're a mummy.

In this tabletop RPG, you and your friends must lift the curse of the mummy if you ever hope to return to the living. But there are plenty of obstacles in the way, least of which is that each curse is unique and will hold you back somehow.

The Mummy's Curse is set in modern-day Egypt, where you can travel on camels or taxis and where there's a hookah bar on every street.

An image of the full RPG is below, but you can get the PDF for free here: The Mummy's Curse

I have other rules-lite RPGs for you here: A bunch of one-shot RPGs

Oh my goat: Originally, I just wanted to look at your pitch, but then I read half of the rules by accident - the For the MG chapter finally snapped me out of it, since these chapters usually make me stop instinctually. Good job! :) I particularly liked how physical the curse ideas felt. They are easy to imagine and I could see people actually represent them at a more LARP-y gaming table without having to do too much effort.

I will definitely add this to the pile of things to try (once our group can meet in person again).

Thanks! Can't wait to hear what you think after playing.

I’m not gonna lie: That will take until after September 2021, when we all got vaccinated. :/ But I will give feedback when we’ve played it - and hopefully the others as well, after I’ve finally managed to drag them to itch…

Oh, I feel you. I haven't had a face-to-face RPG session since March. I've been playing a lot online, though. We moved our dedicated Sunday night games online, and then we have sporadic nights here and there that we get online and play. I prefer playing in person, for sure, but I'll take what I can get right now.
