If you experience lag in the latest update, your best options for resolving it are (In order of most to least effective):
- Don't use >30 FPS, higher FPS will cause the mod to lag because it has less real time to work with per frame. (30 FPS is the default, don't worry about this if you haven't changed it)
- Download NTT 9944 from the NT Discord Server's #co-op_buddies channel description.
- When you install 9944 your Nuclear Throne has to be on the "modbranch_2021" beta using Steam, or else you'll experience a "shuffled sounds" issue.

- Enabling NTT's offline mode, which disables online co-op but should provide a pretty decent performance boost. (Only works in 9940 and 9941)
- Open "NTT-Assemble.exe" in your Nuclear Throne folder
- Press 5
- Lowering the "Visual Quality" sliders in NT:TE's options menu.
- If you've loaded the mod multiple times, restart the game to free up memory.
- If you have other programs open in the background, closing those might help.
- If you haven't restarted your computer in a while, doing that might help.
- If it still lags, don't use other mods alongside NT:TE, as running more modded code just adds lag.
