Yeah I think there's room for better level design to more slowly introduce the mechanics so the player is not as confused. I appreciate you playing though! <3

This was awesome to play through! Very good work. I loved the art. I felt bad about the ghosts because they were so cute. Overall super enjoyed this experience!

I think I got softlocked the first time I went through the game. I think the controls are a bit of a blocker. The art and color palette are really nice though. Fits the vibe really well.

I like the idea of tying attacking to an existing action like jumping, really good call there!

Very nice! I liked the art style. I'd just say from a balancing perspective that I found myself running out of charges with no way to get them back, but that's the only real note I had. Good job!

I had to enlist the support of my wife to play this game, however we both really enjoyed it! It is always a surprise having a multiplayer game in a jam, but I'm really jazzed that this got made! Super cool concept in terms of the theme of getting shocked by the puck! Great job!

Wow this ended way too soon! This is incredible work. The sound design really tied the atmosphere together super well. Brilliant way to express anxiety by the choices moving too fast to click!

I really enjoyed the sound effects, the art style and the integration of the theme. Very clever to have everything designed around a newspaper too. Still working on breaking my high score of 423, but I've enjoyed each time I've come back to play! Well done!

The input remapping is goated! We need more games that provide that functionality. I did find it really difficult to get past the second flag. In truth, I never made it. The dash mechanic seems more like a float, but I could not quite piece together how to utilize it correctly to make it past flag 2. I think a benefit here would be a more gradual ramp up in terms of difficulty of obstacles in order to ease players into the more complicated uses of the dash.

Yeah that's definitely something I want to tune in later releases. The difficulty curve as well I think I can do better in terms of ramp up. The edges of platforms definitely were something I noticed, but just didn't have time to fix. I think I'll go back and just stop you from being able to walk off the edges. Hopefully that way it should be more clear to the player in terms of feedback!

Thanks for playing though!

Thanks for playing! <3

Yeah the platforming is definitely a bit punishing. I would have liked to spend more time tuning the difficulty curve as well because I feel like things ramp up a bit too quickly!

Wow this is so incredible and very well polished. Having two interpretations of the theme as well is also just top notch! The music was amazing, the art was polished and everything worked so well together! Very well done!

(1 edit)

This definitely has good bones! I could see like a score attack road rash style stuff where you need to like avoid the police while also still running people down. I'm very impressed with the songs too, perfect vibe to drive to. I liked that the audio was spatial too where if you hit someone on the right side you heard them on the right side of the speakers. Scream was a bit loud, but I do think that added to the mood!

Only critique I have is just a bit loose on the theme, but it more than makes up for it in fun!

Please tell me you recorded the scream yourself ¬‿¬

Definitely see the vision! I'm a bit bad at the Undertale combat mechanics, but this was enjoyable to try to get through. I do think this is a bit loose in terms of its use of the "shock" theme. Or maybe I just missed how it was interpreted. Definitely would like to see more levels though!

I really appreciate feedback! I definitely agree that the thematic elements are more "creative" in terms of their liberties. Regardless though, thanks for playing!

Wow, I'm pretty blown away by this. Not only the mini-games to play to fix the train, but the sound design including the announcements, the atmosphere and the story / messaging. Real top notch project! Very well done!

The only critique I had was just that the mouse sensitivity for the camera was a bit too high for me personally, but it wasn't nearly as much of an issue once I got the hang of it. I really enjoyed my time with this game. Great job!

Oh interesting! I've never played in a sandbox before. I probably should if I'm being honest. Totally understandable about the controls. I don't think I got them perfect necessarily. There is a certain amount of lag that can happen while you're pressing buttons which doesn't lead to the best game feel. I'm still working on developing a better system.

Glad you liked the puzzles! They were fun to design.

Thanks so much for playing!

Yeah that is definitely a gap in my skillset. I'm not as familiar building stuff for web. I think there are some repos out there that convert Monogame to web, but I haven't looked into it too heavily yet.

The atmosphere is top tier and the music definitely helps to tie everything in together. The backdrops are phenomenal.

I think there definitely could be room for secrets and stuff too, like with the car set piece timing the jump correctly to get to a different teleporter or something. Maybe event having the story moments when everything switches to light be during some platforming gameplay there too.

Overall a very nice to the point platformer! Good job!

The music is phenomenal and the gameplay is super solid, especially when you get up to like level 7+. It was really fun frantically trying to look for that last pedestal to put the last flame on. The particle effects on the flames are great too! The way they color shift is super nice to look at!

Super fun game! Very well executed and great all around game feel! Very well done!
