Can you elaborate what goes wrong with the Discord link on the Steam page? You're not the only one telling me it does not work, but it seems to work for me and some other people so it makes me wonder.

Hi! Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts and issues.

Ships can already fly over other friendly ships, but can not stop on the same tile with them. Does this help?

Do you know if the AI was already stuck when you quit the game? Or was it progressing fine when you quit and now that you load the game it only gets stuck.

Can you please send the save file of the game which gets stuck to support@nullvectorstudios.com or join our Discord to make a bug report and attach the save file? That would be super helpful.

Thanks!

No, we will not abandon Itch! Currently all our demo beta builds will be available in Itch at the same as in Steam as the release pipeline is fully automated. I should've included this in the post.

I'm not yet sure how we will handle the Itch side of things for the full release, but at least the demo will be available and always up to date in Itch. I need to study the release as I've never tried to sell anything in Itch before.

Thanks a lot for playing and the feedback! I think there might be some confusion how colonization works. You can colonize planets outside of your network, but the colonization cost will be equal to the distance from the planet to your network. The UI is doing bad job at visualizing this fact if you don't have enough resources to colonize the planet. This will be fixed in the 0.6.0 update, which contains a redesign of the whole "selected unit" panel.

I'll think about removing the terraforming techs from Yimono. They're not completely useless as terraforming can still be beneficial in order to prevent others colonizing your planets in a dire situation or to change the upkeep of your planets. However it's probably not worth researching them just for this utility. There are more features planned regarding terraforming which will make terraforming more useful for Yimono as well, but they will not be coming in the 0.6.0 update yet.

Thanks for the feedback! Putting stations granted by anomalies outside of your network is intended. Otherwise it would be pretty rare you could place a station from anomaly. Of course you might want to think twice if you can extend your network to the station outside of your network.

The station upkeep is a great observation. I will remove disconnected stations from costing upkeep in the next bigger patch. Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot for playing and the feedback! Our goal is to add more depth in the next couple of months by adding couple of game mechanics and more techs, upgrades, factions, etc. without making the game much longer. I hope you will try the game again in a month or two to see if we've managed to add a good amount of depth while keeping the game relatively quick.

Thank you for the feedback and encouragement. I will try to deliver the image export soon.

Thanks! Yeah we had more ideas for more complex systems but couldn't implement them yet. :)

Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback! I agree that, the factions, ship types and weapons are little bit obscure mechanics and not well explained in the tutorial. You can check the help menu (located on the top right corner) for more information about these mechanics.

Thanks for playing! We're definitely inspired by "Papers, Please".

Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback!

Thanks! Will do!

Thanks a lot! I'm happy if game balance was the most glaring issue.

Good looking art and and atmospheric music!

Where is the GitHub repository? Oh it's just AI...

(1 edit)

The graphics and music are great! Could use some music tracks or variation though. I liked the gameplay but once i realized it's just Carcassonne  with secret objective and without farmers I was little disappointed. I was hoping to play something new I guess. I didn't want to play to the end because the AI did so big mistakes i had almost 10 times more score and over half of the tiles remaining.

The music and graphics are good, the characters look adorable. The hex movement, dice rolls for movement and fog were nice but didn't feel like they added much to this game in particular. I couldn't figure out how to do the accusation. The game said i had to use key `]` but such key itself does not exist and using alt modifier key to print that character didn't seem to work either.

The graphics and music seem great. I spent quite a long time trying to figure out what to do but I just couldn't. I managed to grab a knife, make a hamburger and split a pizza. But I have no idea how to serve or move the food. The game is telling me to plate something, but i have no idea how. Sorry...

Cool graphics and insteresting theme. The ambient sounds and typing sounds are great as well. The gameplay reminds of of work too much though, i couldn't play for a very long time. Could use some music too.

Great work! I'm loving the ASCII graphics and the good use of colors. The gameplay, theme and writing are also good. I didn't hear any audio, it could definitely have some. The crystal maze was pretty cool, i had to explore it like 3 times and I was just about to give up when I found my way through.

Thanks for playing and the feedback! We actually just completed the first version of main menu today. There will be a main menu in the next release.

Thanks a lot for trying out Planet Hex and giving feedback!

One of my inspirations on this project was also to get a better understanding how physical  planetary phenomena and properties affect each other. It's fascinating indeed!

Yes the simulation happens on the hex plane. Each hex has their own properties. The x boundaries wrap around, however i think at least rivers might have some bugs wrapping around. The y axis does not wrap around at all.

Yeah sphere would obviously be more realistic but eventually I would like to create a 4X strategy game and I think simulating things on a sphere might be overkill and too big scope for me right now.

Yes, I love Azgaar's! I'll investigate how complicated it would be to add an image export option. Thanks for the feedback!

No there isn't. Taking a screenshot is your best bet at the moment. Which file format would you like to export it o?

You can't fire with any ship? Or is this issue just with Ghost? With Ghost you need to aim spot on to the enemy to be able to fire.
