Thanks for taking the time to make a video out of it, watched the video and it's cool to see you had a good time.

Oh no, is the recording how your game ran? Seems like it's performing terribly, definitely not the intended quality of experience.

Thanks for playing, hopefully we can release more like it in the future!

Glad you enjoyed it!

I love the artstyle

Sharphat is a free fast-paced platformer with a "reverse mario" combat system. You will need to get enemies to land on your head by knocking them into the air or getting in the way of their landing. It ended up being surprisingly atmospheric as well. Despite only making it in a week it's a game that I'm proud of. So, I would appreciate anyone willing to try it.

I'm glad you like it! I'm working on a full version of the game that's easier (with optional increased difficulty) and has a bit more mechanics that I'm hoping to finish by winter but idk if that will happen in time. If not it should be done by summer.

I ended up making a video doing an overview of how I made my game although I didn’t get into anything too technical but if people wanna know how I did something they can comment on this video and I’ll do my best to reply more in depth.

I will definitely be making it more than 1-hit for a future version. I think after having to fight these bosses like 100 times to test for bugs I didn’t notice how difficult it ended up becoming so its really helpful to have your feedback!

I will make sure to shorten the time it takes to get up, the only reason it’s like that was so that I could reuse all my scripting for the sitting down and was cutting corners for time. I will be changing it out of a 1 hit system though I’m not quite sure what I want to do with that yet.

Thanks I appreciate it! I did come up with the scare thing on my own and I plan on making making the player have something like 2 health but I’m still deciding how to implement it.

Thanks I’ve gotten a lot of people saying it’s too hard so I’m thinking I’ll change it out of the one hit system to something a bit easier for its full release.

I currently don’t have wifi so I couldn’t upload something new if its a bug but if you have a controller plugged in it will only respond to the controllers movement, and if you don’t try using a controller instead of mouse and keyboard and hopefully that works.

Joined a game jam and ended up making a pretty interesting mechanic based on the sanity bars lots of cthulhu games have. This time isntead though, the boss has a sanity meter which you can wear down with abilities in order to make them vulnerable to damage and, although since this was a game jam I didn't have time, eventually in a later version change the way they fight (most of the time).

I plan on finishing a full version of the game to be done later this year but for now if you wanna check it out here's a link:

No I agree the sneaking scene was way too long and patience testing to be fun but I was too stressed for time and wanting it to be well polished to properly make it.

Thanks and I appreciate the feedback!

This game is polished really well and fits the theme great too, I'd say you have a good shot at winning!

The camera is hard to control and like you said you didn't get enough time to finish it but I really like the visuals and definitely see potential in this game.

I think this was my favorite game out of the jam, reminds me of papers please but well with xrays and without the morale descisions. Nice job!

I always like when games bring in light as a mechanic for their game so nice job on that as well as those rotating photos which is pretty cool and a short yet effective story.

Its impressive that were able to get these types of graphics in such a short time.

Lol I like your humour and the characters are cool, I especially like the way sir night walks. Also the fact that you got switching characters that follow eachother and an enemy that doesn't just chase the player is impressive.

I think the music and pixel art is really well done.

I love how you included the little details of the characters blinking and their eyebrows showing concern when you accuse them boldly.

I love the animations

Yeah I was just messing around with an idea that I thought might make the game more engaging than having a plain old walking simulater. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!

It's important to have both the files downloaded and in the same folder. You run the .exe file to start the game though.

Right sorry lol.

Just published my first game and it was part of a game jam too so that was fun. Anyways I did spend the time (sleep deprivation) to make it feel fully made and non buggy so I am hoping that some people will be able to enjoy it!

Heres a link to the game!

Lol I love the concept super creative
