A typo here, a clunky wording there, but the flavor is perfect and more than makes up for any lack of polish.

Yeah, it does cover gaining Abilities by completing Downtime Objectives, but it’s not obvious because i only had room/time for like one example, but Free Movement is more of a framework because it’s for traditional homebrew campaigns instead of capsule scenarios.

And yeah Evasion kinda snuck in late in development as a stealth Resource. i thought giving it a name would help explain it but maybe vetoing Conditions should have just been a step in the end-of-turn phase.

very interesting mechanic for adding the possibility of failure and getting rid of GM dice, although the example doesn’t seem to match the rule

maybe a tad underpowered, but that’s what you want from homebrew

Might not be able to maintain variety for a long campaign, but that’s not what it’s going for. It’s a blast while it lasts!

A mech game with the Delve mechanic from Heart, rules for hacking, where pilot stats matter in mech combat, and that doesn’t assume all mechs have arms? Hits all my boxes.

And having the downtime resource be “Slack” is genius.

Is it against the spirit of the jam to use character sheet elements like bubbles the player fills in, or rows of boxes that are marked off? What if they have different shapes to indicate types or thresholds?

Examples of what I’m thinking of would be PbtA XP tracks, Wild Words, Yazeba’s Bed and Breakfast, or Eat the Reich (which has official character sheets both with and without layout).
