Here are my notes and what I learned from a youtube tutorial video by @starkcrafts here on itchio.
-Hold left click and use wasd keys to move around in editor
-Directional light = open world, Point light = environment/used for individual lights
-Change perspective view to right, left, top, etc. to view models on a grid. Change grid to suit needs for placing models in environment.
-Select multiple = ctrl
-Alt and drag = duplicate model
-Shift click first and last of something will select everything between it on the outliner
-F2 = rename
-backspace in outliner deletes obj
-Get rid of:
+global illumination (lumen prev)
+bloom (uncheck)
+relflection method = none (lumen previously)
+ambient occlusion
+ambient occlusion static fraction
+auto exposure
+auto exposure = manual (auto exposure histogram)
Download .netcore and windows sdk.
-Go find UE_5.1->Engine->Binaries->ThirdParty->DotNet->6.0.302->windows->host->fxr->6.0.7->hostfxr.dll (copy and go to binaries->DotNet->AutomationTool->paste hostfxr.dll in AutomationTool folder.)
How to export:
-Platforms
-Shipping
-Windows
-Package Project
---That's all I could get to for today. Will continue with my studies. (I actually do have a hard time with painting models in blender, and will be something I will also make notes for because I get confused about UV unwrapping. I had made an entire model from scratch one time and then couldn't paint directly onto my model in blender and gave up.)
This is my second time using Unreal Engine and with the new update, I no longer know or remember what's what. It's been a few years but I want to make a short, non-profit, test game with this engine. So here's what I have so far.
-I'm learning how to use the blueprint widgets to make an interactable object.

The 3d model on the left is a re-textured model with some vertex changes of Fuuka from Persona 3 (Playstation 2 ver.)
Making a game from scratch is challenging. My brain hurts because I'm confused on what does what. But I hope to learn the more I go on.
Hello, I wasn't attacking you. I was genuinely asking what genres of stories you like to tell. It's best to also know if there are stories you don't like to tell as well so that as a collaborator, we can work on something that'll empower your passion together. You post very often in different forums and even in game jams communities. People want to see if they would be compatible with you through your interests.
I like psychological horror games of dramatic interpersonal relationships, farming sims with the entire townspeople having their own struggles, and first person shooter games with an open world full of lore (ex: fallout 3, new vegas, and 4).
[Death is an opportunity to GET THAT GUUUURRRL~.]
The first minigame I was like... "I know I got that right. I KNOW IT."
The second minigame, I was bursting out laughing cause "What? Why am I busting moves at a funeral whilst 'God is great' is playing?" Real tears streaming down my face as the music ended and MC's squeaky soles were still going.

3rd minigame, aw yiss them flowers weren't even being used anyways.
4th minigame, I'm sorry old man, whoever you were. That coffin DID NOT last.
5th DO YOU SEE THIS FINGERING WOMAN? DO YOU LIKE IT?
6th JESUS?
7th #####.
10/10 GAME.
Did it! I got the little ones to grow! And now... to watch as the world comes back once again...

I also found out that you can zoom in and out by scrolling with the mouse!

[Death is an opportunity for life to begin anew.]
The music at end was beautiful, thank you for the care and message you put into your game.
Mighty concerned why most of the graves are empty or have only one body part in them, oh and the one eyed sack man who came after me did NOT like that I was digging them graves up. Overall though, good design and mechanics. I did have to look at the game page to know the buttons, because I didn't know how to open the coffins.
This game has a good style, I did have a hard time with the controls though. When I talked to some characters, I moved around and wasn't able to click off the dialogue. I went to the kitchen where the bear was and I swerved my camera to the two hooded characters in there and got the dialogue box stuck and I didn't know who I talked to and I couldn't move my camera back to that person to click the dialogue box away. Overall, I enjoyed the style of the art and storytelling. I understand this was made in a time crunch so I give this game a 5/5.
Above is a showcase of what I accomplished and finished in rpgmaker mv.
What I finished shown in the video above:
- created an item gift giving system
- animated map to change regions
- sketching out the area
- a working day/time system in the top right corner
What I did not show in the video:
- Made the farm map
- Ranch map
- town square
- a random weather variable that has a 5% chance of storm, 20% chance of light rain, and the rest is sunny weather
What I will be working on after this:
- implementing npc's and routing their movement during the day
- writing the romanceable and nonromancables' friendship/heart events
IMPORTANT: PLEASE IGNORE ARIN AND DARNOLD IN THE BG! I tend to listen to random stuff in the background because it helps me focus better.

Went back and changed the artstyle a bit.
Implemented a clock, tried to implement weather, it worked but I don't know if it will work through the full development. Only have used events so far.
Plugins I have installed:
-YEP_CoreEngine
-Irina_PerformanceUpgrade
-IrinaAntiAudioDelay
-Community_Basic
-AnimatedBusts
-fullscreen (found this from a steam thread where someone asked to always have the game play in fullscreen. Very useful. Link: https://steamcommunity.com/app/363890/discussions/0/483368526587764724/ Thank you Sabi.)
I wanted to make a game inspired by "Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town," because it was the very first game I got as a five year old on the Gameboy advanced.
------------
Six targets of the game. Get to know them, date them, and even marry them. [Maybe kids? Post game content.]
Bachelorettes: Aila, Lyco, Antoinette
Bachelors: Theo, Venoir, Fergus
Aila character sheet:

Lyco Character sheet:

Made a character selection, two maps [Your home exterior and interior], and two sprites [player and aila].
-I've written the black heart event and purple heart event for Aila.
Next devlog, I will make the town map, lyco sprite, and the four other targets' character pages.

Y'ello, I got stuck on this part where I interacted with 'Carol' and there was no animation for "Hit1.jpg."
