I'm sorry, but i think this approach is a bit wrong, because it doesn't emphatize the fact that games with more votes have a more precise score. It's like saying that every game that has more than 10 ratings has a 100% precise score.
I think a Bayesian approach would have given a better result.

For example, the formula for calculating the Top Rated 250 Titles in IMDb  gives a true Bayesian estimate:

weighted rating (WR) = (v ÷ (v+m)) × R + (m ÷ (v+m)) × C

where: R = average for the movie (mean) = (Rating)

v = number of votes for the movie = (votes)

m = minimum votes required to be listed in the Top 250 (currently 25000)

C = the mean vote across the whole report

I believe that, with the same formula, if we substitute m with the median (in this case 10), we would get a more accurate estimate of what the game score should be.

oh my got that's really cute, thank you for the fan art!

I really like this post xD

Here's my entry too, a platformer... with only one jump!

https://wylter.itch.io/onejumpman

To be honest it surprised us as well that we managed to do this much in  in only 48h, with a team of just 2 people. But I'm really happy with the result, thank you!

I found a really good game during the jam period where you had do draw one line to navigate a chicken inside the puzzle level, and it was incredibly fun. This is my Pick for sure. https://michim.itch.io/chickenhike

Also, if you want, check my game as well. I must say I'm really proud of the mechanics we were able to implement.

Thank you!

We tried to sometimes give the chance to do the levels choosing when to jump, expecially in the first cloud platforms, while other levels have a more puzzle like approach of understanding when to jump.

But yeah if we'll expand on the concept we'll try to give more space to choosing when to jump as well :)

Thank you for the feedback, we're really proud of the cloud mechanic!
