Hey there! We greatly appreciate your review, thank you for playing.
Regarding the music - I spent plenty of time trying to look for something I would find fitting for the feel I wanted, but I couldn't really find anything. Shame, I know, but hopefully next time!

That is also a valid piece of feedback. I alao had difficulties with the text at times. Good to know!

Hey, I get it, that's alright. You did well! It's a cool little game!

Wow, you played the whole thing! I think we already won the jam if a player finished all three levels! :D

You are right about the late game, it could, for example, use more cards that are stronger.

Thanks for playing!

We're both happy you enjoyed the game!

I welcome the suggestion, that sounds very useful to the gameplay quality.

I once worked on a game that was a bit similar to this one, it suffered the same issues as well. I like the game idea and art, good job. After a while of playing, confusion sets in as I am not entirely sure who likes what and what I am supposed to be clicking to balance the bars. I'm sure that if you had more time, you could make that more apparent.

Interesting take on Snake! I was surprised by playing as a cat, what is the idea behind that?

Oh you think it's too short? I don't believe so! I'd say it's about the right length for a game jam, it took me about 20 minutes to finish the game.

Good job on the game guys! Really liked the graphics - I could see this being a game with a longer story, I'm sure people would find it charming.

Always a pleasure enjoying nice pixelart buddy!

I'm on pc, using Opera GX.

I really like this game dude, good job

Hey, is the game broken? I can't seem to be able to play it!

Yeah, I really wanted to put that into the game, but I sadly did not end up managing to do so during the jam.

10/10 would play again.

Wow this is an actual video, thank you for making this! (I thought this comment was just a spam bot, so sorry for not commenting back!). I hope to participate again next year and do something better or at least something finished.

thank you for such a nice review, I'm glad my game made you laugh! I will definitely try your game out as well!

Thank you for trying my game, I tried out yours! Good job <3

I really like it! If you keep working on it, I'll take a look!

Thank you, you are incredibly kind! Keep a lookout for Into the Dungeon, I plan to release a few major updates for that game and make it much nicer than it currently is.

thank you very kindly for your comment!

I know the .exe is very suspicious and tedious to download, sorry about that. I originally had this as an embed on the page, but it kept throwing strange errors and I was already running late, so I settled for this. I'll try to figure out the cause for next time though!

Update: Both problems are now fixed, I am currently working on expanding the game - if you are still interested, expect a development log from me soon!

Thanks for checking the game out! Also thank you for pointing out the bugs/missing features. I am working on fixing them!

Good luck!

Thank you kindly! <3

Thank you for playing, and thank you even more for rating my game!

I will play your game and rate it, you deserve it for doing the same with me.

Here you go! Hope you have fun!

it's intended for Windows and plays in the browser.

Hey! If you still want to, I'd love it if you tried my game! <3

I'll play yours too, just later, I need to pass my exams now (semester's ending), but then I will definitely play it ;)

If you end up playing it, have fun! :)

Lol, alright, that definitely should not happen! I will look into it and try to replicate your bug, thanks for playing!

Thank you!

No... That really is not intended, haha! I guess there is another edge case I missed. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, I'll fix it with the new update! (Since I intend to keep working on this). Have a nice day!

This is an amazing game... the visuals are just stunning. Bravo, I am amazed!

Hey this pack looks pretty cute!

Thanks a lot for telling me! I'll fix it!

Ever since I was a kid I've enjoyed reading Gamebooks (for example the Lonewolf series). As I grew older though, I traded my pen and paper RPGs for the computer versions we all know so well. In this jam, I'd like to try and come back to those evenings I would spend crawling through sewers and fighting various monsters with just a book, a pencil and some dice.

So, what is it that I am making exactly?  The game will be a dungeon crawling monster-slashing game that can be summarised into two game states:

  1.  Walking through dungeon rooms
  2. Fighting monsters

(more states may appear in the future, such as shopping)

As of now, the game's most core mechanics of walking, combat and game state transitions are done (with a few bugs that need ironing out) and I am starting work on design - both story and visual - focus on the word start, hence why I am currently showing no visuals, but that will change soon (hopefully)!

If I manage to create textures and a story that are to my liking, I will try to create an inventory system, items (both usable, like weapons and potions, and story related, like rope, or a piece of paper containing a secret code) and give the player some more variation and engagement this way.

Follow this thread to see more info in the coming days if you are interested!

Wow, thanks for the comprehensive analysis. I couldn't agree with you more on all that you wrote, if only I had realised that when writing!

Pretty cool music and overall vibe of the game! I like it and if there was some more content, I'd definitely play it!

Really cool! I'd play this if you made it into a longer game with a story! :)

Very nice! The art is fantastic. The controls felt a bit strange at first (played on keyboard), but by the end I was used to them. Good job! :)

Thank you so much for playing and for your review! Yes, the absence of music is regrettable, hopefully next time :)

Oh and uh... is your watch broken?

Also unable to play, hope you manage to fix it though!
