I'm really enjoying this demo. The artstyle is adorable yet sexy, the general flow of gameplay is quick and easy to grasp, and the overall presentation is well done. While I'm not the biggest fan of combat where you have little to no control of your party, this one's still fun to set up a good squad and then turn your brain off and go through the motions and enjoy the lovely bosoms on screen.
The only problem I had was a runtime error. I did some testing and noticed that it only occurred when Aurora was on the team.
Besides that, I'm enjoying the vibes of this and would absolutely love to see more.
I love this so much, and I have to ask if this is taking inspiration from a certain Quest involving Monster Girls? If so, then that's amazing cause I love that VN so much.
The art style is very adorable, the music selection is a bop (gotta love rengoku's work), the characters are interesting and quirky, the story has a cool premise, and I want to know more about what's going on, and the humor is so good and is right up my alley. This demo is hitting me with nostalgia in all the right ways, and I hope you keep on working on this cause I would love to see more. If there is inspiration taken from that VN then you are doing a fantastic job getting that vibe and feel of it incorporated in this.
Only main issue is that the English translation is rough, but I could still get the general idea of what's going on.
Wonderful work!
I had a fun time playing this! I loved the names of the MaestroMon, the cities/towns, and the art style was very spot on with the Pokémon vibes. I love Banjowl so much. The music was phenomenal, Ampsterdam was definitely my favorite track. The musical theme is done very well and flows into the setting of the game very organically.
My only issue is that the combat gets repetitive towards the end, and it feels like some of the Maestromons you fight are a bit spongy. The QTEs are fun, but I feel they should have a shorter sequence, and then some variety would be nice as well. It also felt a bit grindy to level up your current Maestromons and was just better to get new ones. I am a big fan of elemental triangles, so the concept of Classical vs Rock vs Folk was very creative and unique. If you guys had more time, since there are so many different types of music genres, I could see there being an elemental chart similar to how Pokémon works.
Overall, great experience, great work, and I would love to see more of this! I also hope that Nintendo doesn't send you a cease and desist, lol!
The presentation of this is awesome and gives late 90's early 2000's anime vibes, which I love to death. The artstyle is adorable and the general vibe of the game feels like something you'd play on the DS. Malta is super adorable and I'd protect her with my life.
Definitely has its bugs, but I understand that's due to the SSD card exploding. It's awesome you were able to get this out in time despite that so major kudos there. The minigames are simple but really fun, I think the flower one is my favorite! I'd love to see more of this in the future!
Great work!
This was an absolutely wonderful experience! I enjoyed the gameplay, it was simple yet fun. The artstyle is really cute and fit the theme of the game very well. The characters are interesting, funny, and creative.
I used to play Diner Dash and this gave me similar vibes with some extra spice to it. I can definitely see myself coming back to this to try for a new highscore and I'd love to see more of something like this, or even the inclusion of an endless mode.
Fantastic work! Bravo!
I'm glad you enjoyed the demo, and I appreciate the feedback. I can look into buffing the Melee weapon type; I'd rather not add a fourth weapon type due to the game's triangle weakness system. Adding a fourth weapon type might cause more balancing problems, so I feel it's better to focus on making Melee better if that's the problem. I can maybe either change the die from a D10 to a D12 or give a general buff to ATK when a Melee weapon is equipped.
I can add in more Boons and Banes. For the demo, they're all unlocked from the beginning to give the player an idea of how they work; in the full release, the player would need to unlock them with Oblivion Shards. I will also be sure to include other meta progression unlocks as well.
And I completely agree with your final note. I will be sure to include a way to make the character creation process quicker in the full release.
Thank you so much!
Ah yee! That one was my bad, my apologies! Fix 2 should take care of any crashes but definitely let me know if anything else happens!
As for the difficulty, have you used any of your Oblivion Shards to have The Witch make you some earrings or to unlock the Mystic class? Those might help make your runs a bit easier.
