https://wicked-grin.itch.io/grim-metal-bedlam-prototype-rules-sheet

This is a prototype rule sheet of the game originally called panzer strider I have been developing for nearly five years. The current rule book over three hundred pages at this point. This is the quick start rule sheet. I am looking for advice or constructive criticism, all is welcome and appreciated. I know the setting is interesting but chose to focus only on the rules in this release.

some setting info:

Near the star named Methuselah is the celestial cruiser Wizard Tusk. It has swallowed whole planets and devoured the light. In its belly is a whole world far stranger than our own. Civilizations have risen and fallen in its belly. They use bio-mecha known as Panzer Striders. They are genetically modified clones of their pilots and are over twenty feet tall. The pilots control them with espers powers they gain from a Drug that looks like cotton candy in a snuff can: called Spun-Sugar. Only it can cause psychoses in those susceptible or who overuse it.

Hi, My name is Drew. I am relatively experienced with pixel art and concept art, and have made some tabletop games and a couple of Twine demos. I have written four novellas, so I have experience with writing. I have been part of half a dozen teams for games but never for a jam. I am learning how to make low poly models, but that is more informative to my character designs right now than being an actual skill. I released four albums of music last year under the name Mason Andrew Freak, which is like grunge hard rock stuff.

hopefully, I can help with something in a group context.

I would prefer to work on a 3d game.

I would love to give working on something a shot. I sent you a friend request on Discord.

A complete revision and expansion of Star Punks (my tunnel goons hack).

Redid the layout to be odnd style. much simpler than the mork borg inspired ten-page (the new version is nearly 20 pages) version originally released.

Includes forty pages of stories expanding the universe and lore of the game. Though is still not complete I am hoping to have a major update at the end of next month expanding the rules and making it so that you can pilot panzer striders (the name-sake biomechas of the game).

and also will add a hand-drawn character sheet in the next update,

but as it stands this is a playable simple hack of tunnel goons in a surreal psychedelic nightmarish setting of the belly of the sentient celestial star cruisor known as the wizard tusk. explore the living ship that is larger than planets and is the scourge of the Methuselah Star Kingdom and the Council of the Scarlet Templars.

I normally would wait to post this game but I got obsessed with this project and have barely been asleep for most of a week. I hope u give it a chance and offer constructive criticism, thank you for reading this.

A tunnel goons hack I made because of insomnia yesterday. I have been developing the setting for half a decade of journals and notes I also wrote two novellas in the setting and have been adapting some of it to a comic. I intend to make a skirmish add-on to the core system to make less abstract combat. but as is most of it is my setting applied to Highland Paranormal Society's nearly perfect microgame RPG system.

The setting is an absurdist punk rock-influenced science fantasy. the setting for this book is the Celestial Star Cruiser Wizard Tusk. a sentient living ship much like a shark or a whale that hosts planet-sized cities inside of its stomach. the inhabitants don't know why the city is there or why sometimes ships are allowed to come and go.

Bio mechas known as Panzer Striders are central to the setting but will be in the next expansion of the game.

thank you even though I wrote this version pretty quickly been developing the setting for almost half a decade of compiling notes and ideas. it really means something to me that you seem to dig it.

maybe but can I ask why my username bothers you? Dharma is social order or an aspect of truth or reality. and discharge is a release so it means something like karma. or, instant karma.

Unless I am missing something I don't think there is wrong with it. I am kind of at a loss for words and legit anxious it means something I don't know.

Just made this so I could get some practice in.

I am looking to join a game jam team as a pixel artist primarily but mainly wanted to show off some of my stuff with this post. all constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated.  the top one is a mockup for a personal project I am working on the rest are animation tests and from projects that kind of fell apart.

Wanting to work on some small projects to get more of a feel for what works in development. I would love to join a small team for a jam as a pixel artist or composer. I have made some pen-and-paper games and some larger videogame projects that never got finished. I am including two examples of pixel art that are different in style and one animation. I have written five novellas so I know the basics of storytelling but I don't know how much narrative can be included in a game jam size project but I am interested in seeing what we can create.  Here is an example of music I can make, https://masonandrew.bandcamp.com/album/greed-hunter-soundtrack
