A blistering critique, of not just the insane cost of living plaguing society worldwide, but also the sinister depths of the art industry. A masterpiece of storytelling married together by incredible gameplay - as the strokes of my brush embraced the various canvases oh so lovingly, I was imbued by the essence of Rembrandt while playing this game, and thanks to it, I was for but a brief moment given the authority of a true artist.

Also music is 10/10 as always and thanks for letting me enjoy amogus AND abstract squidward in the same game. Truly a one of a kind experience.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No u

Awesome presentation, really feels like I'm on the other side of the screen of an NES!

Really amazing art, fun idea and good execution. I have so much respect for what the poor computer needs to do now! x)

Great idea and execution. I just wish it was longer :D

The game I spent the longest playing so far! It's addicting trying to get the perfect ship each round!

Amazingly polished and so much fun to play. Definitely the game where I laughed the most while playing!

One of my favorites, the graphics look amazing. It was really fun to explore a version of the same castle as the one we've been jamming in!

(1 edit)

Knee-deep in metaphysical metaphors, you created an astonishingly accurate portrayal of modern life. Furthermore, the combination of AI permeating every kitchen, bedroom, place of work in the game results in an alien, yet familiar sense of unnerving belonging. Especially the second act, where the rifle, is surreptiously located in your office, hints at moral quandries yet to come. In the end this masterpiece uproots expectations and smashes elephants. I believe everyone should give this a shot.

Also. Read the first letter in every line. Except for the one above this one, this one doesn't count either. Also the editor doesn't have the same line width as the resulting post. #pain.

This is fucking amazing xD Great job :D

Thanks a lot for playing and for your nice comment :)

Actually addicting and fun to learn the muscle memory to control the craft! Cool game

Boom boom is the intended gaming experience. Thank!

Yet another masterpiece released by the critically acclaimed DennisMagnusson. The game invites you into what will undoubtedly be a magical experience with the description of perfection - as if handed down to us mere mortals from the heavens above, we are blessed with the most based scoring formula of all time. Thank you.

The Gigantic Anime girl, with her towering presence and fierce personality, embodies the emotional poverty experienced by the average humans - living at the feet of our oppressors, we can do not a thing except accept the love and hate bestowed upon us by those in control. We yearn for the warmth of hearts, but are inevitable crushed by the fish - fish here is a brazen reminder of the abhorrence of modern living. Their speed, smell, and agility so prominently displayed as they are yeeted through the air only to collide with us causes us to really feel like a fish. Blub blub.

Combine this surrealist perspective of the impertinence of modern society with the absolute behemoth of a soundtrack assaulting and yet paradoxically caressing our eardrums at the same time - one is left to wonder just how such a masterpiece could be created by a mere mortal.

Good game thank you for creating

I got 171 score heck yeah 😎

Perhaps the greatest piece of art concerning goblin romance to ever be created.

Voice acting? Top tier.

David Attenborough-esque voice acting? Beyond what was thought to be possible.

Sad goblin rap? Give me the spotify link right now.

Immersive goblin romance sentences? James Joyce wants to speak with you over tea.

NFTs? Bad.

10 out of 10? Yes.

Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words :)

Hahaha, yes, sorry about that... It can get very unfair sometimes, unfortunately it wasn't something I had time to fix. Thanks so much for playing and your feedback!

Haha, I'm surprised there is another boat game based on Swedish history! I really like your idea and execution. It's very intuitive/easy to understand, but can get quite hectic and strategic too when you are picking which item to choose first, so there is a surprising amount of depth (hehe) to the game. The music was very calming and enjoyable to listen to as well. If I had to give some feedback, maybe it would be easier if the new item spawns were a little more spread out over time? I had a few cases where a bunch of stuff spawned on one side and my ship sank instantly... Which is historically accurate I guess :D But a little hard to play with. Anyway, very cool game.

I actually love this.

It gets a bit hard but not needlessly so. The gameplay idea is simple but very interesting and most of all fun to play. The fact that each musician makes up part of the music being played is GENIUS and made me want to continue playing much longer than I thought I would. Very neat game.

The emus are pretty cute. Also, I love the idea of this game, I always thought the great emu war was an interesting piece of history. That said it's sometimes a little hard to understand what's going on, I would suggest maybe an audio cue to guide the player in the direction of the invading emus?

Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback on the audio. It's something I have to work on for sure.

Thank you! That's good feedback, unfortunately it's not something I had time to fix. But I might fix it for a future, non-gamejam release.

Thanks for playing and well done for perservering :)

ROYAL DOG! GOOD!

In all seriousness, I liked all the details such as the royal seal on the textboxes. And the fact that a dog can change history is quite a fun idea. Great job :)

Shooting was quite satisfying! Music was fun and empowering. I did get stuck on the ground a few times, as if there was some invisible wall.

Haha, thanks for the feedback. Crude depictions of male genitalia is truly the thread that binds generations together.

And regarding the number of obstacles that appear if you go slow, good idea!

Nice game, although the art is simple, it's very cohesive and works well.

well thank you! I wasn't expecting anyone to actually play this since it's not much of a game, but I appreciate you taking the time. :)

Hey, thanks for playing! Hm, you mean the one where tutorial #2 pops up? You should be able to get across by yeeting your ball hard enough, which should be possible by clicking the player and dragging your mouse to the edge of the screen. Maybe it's easier if you play it in fullscreen? I'm not sure.

Polished, fun and juicy to play with an interesting mechanic. Menus look great, interesting but hard boss fight. Overall realy good!

Surprisingly fun and addictive. Despite the simple graphics I think this is pretty polished. The difficulty ramps up in a good way too, and I didn't encounter any "impossible" situations where you couldn't avoid taking any damage.

Nice game! I really like how moody it is, the combination of music and art works really well. Unique graphics too, and very well made sprite art. I sometimes found it a little hard to tell where I was and where I had to go to find the next ingredient, but that was quite minor. Overall a fun experience. :)

Maybe I didn't make the concept clear enough, sorry about that. The idea is to get the lowest possible score by answering wrong on each question. Each question has 3 right answers, and 1 wrong answer. So on the cinnamon roll question, sugar, butter and milk are all correct, and the wrong answer is baking soda, so you want to pick baking soda to get -1 point. So yeah you're right, yeast is the correct way to rise the dough ;)

I was just picking out ingredients... And all of a sudden I am bestowed with the responsibility of making a baby? So much pressure :D! Oh, someone else commented that this was like a fever dream and I have to agree. Also there is just so much soul in this game, I love all the music and sound effects too.

Wow, I feel honored that you not only played my game but also decided to record and upload a video of it. Thanks a bunch! And I think you did pretty good, definitely got a lower score than anyone else that I showed it to on their first try. But I guess it was a little too hard still ;)

Surprisingly fun to play! The visuals are somewhat lacking, and as someone else mentioned WASD would be an improvement as well

I love the prologue, the idea of telling how to play the game with pictures like that is really neat. And the graphics are well done too considering that it's a jam game. But I am left wondering what exactly a wizard is doing in this cave, haha.

Cool! Well executed, and fun to play through - short and sweet. I like the visuals as well.
