Nice little game ;)

I like the concept and art (maybe a bit too much bloom ;P).
But i can totally cheese the game by driving in circles forever. There is nothing that forces me to drive around as long as I move a bit bc the only thing that matters is how long I survive. An enemy that follows me all the time could counter that unwanted behaviour and/or extra points for driving around (maybe random checkpoints for extra points?)

A 5 stars game for me!

Great job. Simple, enjoyable and addictive game loop. Art and artstyle: i love it. Captain cat is adorable and rememberable. The music is reactive - i as the player know instantly when im ready to move on. SFX meow ;)

there is only one little thing: i wished the left and right controls were a little bit more responsive. it feels a bit delayed imho


All in all: Great game with character from a solo dev with talent

the auto aim technically overwrites the user aim when an enemy spawns. that must be the weird feeling u got in the beginning :D i will probably add a small update after the jam to have an option to deactivate auto aim. auto aim is also buggy^^

the giant wave was originally designed to not be winable, but with some luck and knowledge which power ups op, it is possible. but you're right, a lil bit more field of view would be better

haha, yes the water gun is a prototype - never intended it to be the only weapon^^

the gun has auto aim. after the jam i will probably add the use of mouse to aim (or only keys). the function is there in theory, but the auto aim overwrites it. 
you couldnt use space or enter to select an option in the menu and/or a power up in game? i will check on this, thx for the hint. my guess is, maybe u clicked somewhere with the mouse and the menu lost its focus (didnt think of that til now :D)

hey, it happened to me too. suddenly the music was gone. maybe a browser problem.
