Thank you! I’ll definitely be revisiting this.

The narrative feels like it could be developed a little more, but the sound and the visuals really work well together in creating a sense of foreboding. I really enjoyed this one. Great work!

Thanks for playing! This is an idea I’d like to revisit sometime. It’s definitely cut off prematurely, and I think that’s partly because I spent too much time tweaking the graphics and not enough implementing the gameplay.

One of my favorite games from this jam! It’s extremely polished and every part of the design contributes to the atmosphere. I do agree that the gameplay element could be improved somewhat by varying the task mechanic a little more, but that’s a minor nitpick considering this was a one-week project. Excellent work!

Thank you!!

Thanks! Glad you liked it.

And yeah, I’d honestly chalk that up to poor time management. I got hung up on a couple things that took longer than they should’ve to fix about halfway through development 😭

Thank you! Honestly, I wasn’t super confident in the little narrative beats when I submitted, so I’m glad to hear that 😭

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed.

I’m glad I stuck with this one until I beat it! The fast puzzle-solving aspect was pretty unique. I liked the art style a lot, too.

What a cool project! I’m really looking forward to seeing what you all do with this in the future.

My only suggestion would be to lengthen the reaction time a little. The game ramps up so quickly that it’s really hard to break into the mid-20s (my best is 24). Since it hints that it continues up to 100, it almost feels like I can’t really explore a lot of the game’s thematic comment.

That said, this is super polished! I love the presentation, and I think you did a great job with the sound. The flavor text hints at something sinister without revealing everything. It’s a unique premise and you executed it well!

I’ll echo the other commenters and say that your art for this game is wonderful! I do think it would have benefited from a little more narrative direction and some proofreading, but this is an impressive project for a one-week game jam.

Good work! I think you played into the jam theme really well with this game. The controls felt a little stiff, and I got snagged on enemy hitboxes a few times, but overall, this is a really solid project.

Thank you!

Thank you! That means a lot.

I’m glad you liked it! And yes, that’s the end of the game. I ran out of time before I could implement a proper ending 😭

Hey! I don't know if you're still interested, but I was able to recover the .p8 🙌

I've added it to the downloads section

Shoot, I meant to reply to this a long time ago. The only copy of the source I have is on a broken laptop, but I'll be happy to post the cart if I can recover it.

Managed a 73! Really enjoyed this one a lot

This was a fun little adventure! I especially enjoyed the music

As others have mentioned, the collisions/knockback took a bit to get used to, but overall the learning curve wasn't too bad. Because screen space was limited, a lot of rooms required using the environment to your advantage (i.e., hiding behind trees, skirting around corners, etc.), which I thought was interesting

Good stuff ✨

Yep, that's a bug. I guess I forgot to test for interacting with the chute after dropping the weight down it. I didn't find anything else during testing, but please let me know if you happen to come across anything else! I'll probably be revisiting this project after the jam

Glad you enjoyed, though ✨

The aesthetic is super comfy. Really liked this

Thank you! I'd wanted to implement some of the math functions differently, but I was having trouble getting them to work and running out of time. I'm glad you liked it, though
