Do you mean the current demo which contains Episode 1 only? Or the previous version of the game which was Episodes 1-8?
We have had some coding changes which means old save files are not compatible with the new 9.1 update, so yes, you will have to replay, however you can use the skip function to play through to the new update a bit easier.
While we are fairly limited by how many choices we add into the game, and we do have a base "personality" to keep in mind for the MC, the earlier episodes are on our list of tasks for major editing and extending. Episode 1 and the first half of Episode 2 have had some editing work done, which is reflected in the latest update, but we have plans to continue working on these before the final release. We have a very small team, so while this is being worked on alongside the Episode 10 update, we do expect it to take some time.
We know that A6 is not to everyone's taste, which is to be expected, but hopefully the edits will improve on the story and add some more varied choices, especially in the earlier episodes. We will also keep in mind how MC's gender is presented throughout the game and focus on improving this, and as we work towards our more in-depth character creator we're hopeful we can achieve this.
Overall, we are incredibly proud of Andromeda Six and MC's journey and development throughout the story, and we feel that the most recent episode really shows how far MC has come :)
Hello, there should be a link on the same pop-up that is asking you to pay for the game that says something like "I've already paid for this".
If you click on that it should let you download the update with no issue. The other option is to play through the itch.io app, which will update the game automatically.

There is no way that you can get through the story without either playing again or using skip. There has been new content added to Episode 2, so it may be preventing you from skipping there if you haven't played it before.

Sorry, what do you mean by public updates? We've just updated to version 9. 0 which is available to purchase and play, and will be working on the 10.0 update next.
Hello, no the 8.2 files will not be available moving forward. We always remove the old files after a new update, so from here on out the demo and the 9.0 version are the only ones available.
No, there is no cheating in the game. The acceptance leads to another plot point that hasn't yet been revealed in game, so I won't be explaining it here, to avoid spoilers. If you wish for your MC to avoid acknowledging a connection with Vexx, then you simply have to choose "Don't acknowledge it."
Hi, in order for MC to feel a romantic connection to Vexx in Episode 9 you had to have chosen the following in order:
Episode 3 "We were more than friends."
Episode 5 "It wasn't your fault." OR "I need time to work through this."
Episode 9 "Speak to Vexx" >> "I'll be with you the whole time." >> "Acknowledge it."
If you've chosen those Episode 9 choices then they make it pretty clear that your MC is choosing to still have a romantic attachment to Vexx, if you haven't chosen them then feel free to post a screenshot here of the conversation you're referring to because it may be that you've encountered a bug/error.

It's not something we've thought of so far, but since the MC won't be shown in CG's or anywhere besides a portrait next to the text box, it shouldn't be too difficult to add an option to skip the CC. We'll add it to our list of ideas :)
We're not planning on adding poly routes, as it's too much work for us to add on top of what we already have to complete, but we'd like to explore some kind of DLC or mini-story at some stage giving MC the option to romance both Alisa and Zane :)
I think that should be the CG of Alisa and Damon, so when you're playing Episode 4, choose to eavesdrop on their conversation and you'll get the image :)
