I'm not unhappy with my scores. I would have liked more people to rate it, but unfortunately with this many games the most ranked games get more rankings and the least ranked games get more rankings (but it's spread out among all of them). You really do have to promote the game, because I only got more rankings when I posted in the discord

Thank you to everyone who played and ranked my game, I hope to see you all in future jams!

There is no game

Positives

  • I'm a fan of the idea of a tax/laundering simulator
  • The tax form looks like it could lend to some interesting future mechanics on how you could lie and get away with it
  • Nice audio

Needs Work

  • After filling out the second form (the one asking for consonants) I am met with a white screen that stays there
  • You don't actually limit the name to a length, I could type endlessly
  • For what I was able to play, it's not really a game at this time. Maybe this was still a "tutorial" but I was able to lie on the tax form with no result, good or bad
  • The lever moving is slow, it detracts from thrill

Overall, it just doesn't feel like a game in its current state. I wasn't able to continue past the first form, so maybe it got better then, but I just wouldn't know

Positives

  • Music is good
  • Clear indication of damage
  • Flamethrower is cool

Needs Work

  • The goal is confusing. With the movement being very jittery, I wasn't able to read the words under "Exit" so I thought I had to fly to the exit, after seeing the picture I figured it out and did beat the game
  • The movement is very slow and jittery, which leads it to be very unsatisfying and unenjoyable
  • Particle effects are fine, but you shouldn't have given these ones collision. They mess with the driving too much
  • Couldn't see anything related to the theme
  • It seems like the car will stick to whatever it is driving on, unless stabilized, which means in order for the ramps to work you have to stabilize at the last second to glide where you need to. This become very annoying

Overall, a complete game, but unfortunately too slow and janky to enjoy

Positives

  • Love the feel of the Doom/Goldeneye inspired style
  • Really well fleshed out
  • No big bugs
  • Enjoyable even on a replay
  • Trophies
  • Perks

Needs Work

  • Some of the audio needs balanced. I understand maybe the wing flapping helps to know what's coming, but it's too loud at the level it's at

Overall, a fantastic game!

Positives

  • The wheel spins really well
  • I like the visual look
  • As just being roulette, it's fully fleshed out

Needs Work

  • Audio would've been nice
  • The ball should probably be a little more visible.
  • I'm assuming the table on the right was roulette terms that I wasn't familiar with, but it'd be nice to have a translation for what that means
  • Retrying has a bug. After losing, I clicked retry. While it shows I have 10 chips in the top left, I must not have any in the data. I can't place any chips to bet, and as soon as the first spin ends, I lose again. Leading me to believe I have no chips and it checks the loss after the spin

Overall, a nice roulette game that I would be interested what kinds of upgrades you want to add

Thanks for playing

Yeah, getting a good balance of the content of the game is the hardest part for this. I tried to come up with paragraphs and words that would work together as best I could, but it certainly would have been better with more polish in there and probably making the word bank specific to each question, but that was more work than I had time for unfortunately

Positives

  • A full game
  • No found bugs

Needs work

  • The game starting immediately
  • A score would be nice
  • Some variance in the movement of the dino would be cool
  • Maybe slowing them down a bit if you add the variance
  • No audio
  • basic visuals
  • Can't see anything for the theme in it

Overall, a good game for a young dev. It's a complete game, even if it is a bit short. Audio, enemy variance, and a score would make this a solid game.

Game is still quarantined

With Godot games, you need to have the pck file in the same folder, so your game is unplayable :(

Positives

  • The game is fully functioning
  • No found bugs
  • Nice, simple art style
  • Good music
  • I like the sudden jerks of the opponent AI, it added to the chase

Needs Work

  • Just needs a more enjoyable gameplay loop

Overall, this is a good game for a game jam. It's a complete and not buggy game, but it just isn't challenging enough to be really enjoyable yet

Your game is unfortunately, unplayable. You only uploaded the exe file and godot games need a pck file in the same folder I believe.

Positives

  • A nice core concept
  • Very fleshed out menus and core concept
  • I like the images in the center of the discs
  • I liked the minimalist design, it kept you focused on the beats and not getting to distracted by other things
  • Good difficulty, I'm definitely not the person who's going to beat this game on "serious"

Needs Work

  • Would have been much nicer if I was pressing keys to the beat. Having things on beat gives a pattern recognition so you can do better and feel more enjoyment
  • I think the difficulty jump from Medium to Hard is too big. The other jumps felt balanced, but that one in particular felt like too much difference
  • There were definitely times when I'm certain I hit the key (particularly the 'A' key) at the right time, but I got the "missed" effect

Overall, a good game, but it takes away from being a rhythm game for me because I wasn't hitting things on beat

Positives

  • A very fun concept and core mechanic
  • Great visuals, cute character
  • Good controls
  • No found bugs

Needs Work

  • I would have liked maybe more punishing levels, but that's outside the scope of a game jam anyway

Overall, a great game. A fun, unique concept I haven't seen before, but it uses the classic arcade "shoot a cannon" as a great building block

Positives

  • The audio adds a good feel to it
  • The visuals are nice and the animation of the wheel is well done

Needs Work

  • Unfortunately, the biggest thing is that it just doesn't feel like a game. There are choices but from what I could tell they didn't change anything.
  • There was a visual bug with the text overflowing off the box
  • The game kept bugging and wouldn't let me actually finish it. I was unable to complete the game because every now and then it would register that the ball stopped and wouldn't trigger the next text popup, so it just sat there spinning endlessly

Overall, a good first attempt for a limited time game jam. Don't think of any of this as failure. You submitted something, which is better than many, and any attempt you learn from is a win. I look forward to seeing your next game

One of the definitions of spin is to turn something around. In this game you are spinning a story. I tried to make that clear through the description as best I could, but I understand it's not easy to see immediately

Positives

  • Nice simple art
  • Good level design
  • good controls

Needs Work

  • The cropping of screens is off, if it was done on purpose, it did not add any enjoyment. If it was just off, then it just needs adjusted, because there were times where I enter a new area and can't even see my guy anymore and have to make totally blind jumps at a ball I saw when the screen moved, but then if I touched the wall then my spin would end and I would die
  • The lack of audio takes away from it, but I know that's a tough thing to squeeze into a project in limited time

Overall, fun short game that needs better screen views

Positives

  • Level design was excellent and very challenging later (I didn't beat one of the cemetary levels, so I got stuck there and have given up (i'll probably come back later)
  • Sound
  •  Visuals were adorable
  • No found bugs
  • A great use of the spinning without overdoing it
  • Making so many levels in such a short time

Needs Work

  • I have absolutely nothing to put here, this is amazing

Overall, a fantastic game! Probably my favorite that I have played in this jam so far!

Positives

  • No found bugs
  • Fun concept and good use of the spin
  • A lot of content
  • Fun little serious secret

Needs Work:

  • The randomness of the spinning while shooting is frustrating. This isn't a necessary change, but adding a small homing to when the gun fires during the spinning would improve things. I only say this because I had a level 1 instance where it was 30 seconds and a lot of enemies for me to actually hit one enemy. The bullets literally thread needles where it was way more likely it would have hit an enemy, but it didn't

Overall, a very complete game. Shockingly in depth for a game jam.

Positives

  • I love the more unconventional interpretation of the theme
  • I really enjoyed the momentum aspect of the game, and the gravity of the webs
  • Good level design for a first/tutorial level
  • No found bugs, aside from the joltik

Needs work

  • Would love some audio

Overall, a fun, albeit short, game. The lack of audio takes away from depth, but audio is a tough thing for a game jam, so it's understood

Note: I played the web version so it may have been updated, as I see it has a download now

Positives

  • Awesome Music
  • Fun loop, took a second to figure out the beats
  • Hilarious story

Needs Work

  • I'm not sure if I wasn't supposed to hit the space at those time, but there were longer periods where the indicator wasn't showing the beat
  • The UI was a little unclear, I thought my health was the yellow bar (it might have been) and I see in the images that there were 2 red bars, I don't remember seeing a second one
  • Maybe the eggs were spinning, but I couldn't see anything related to the theme for this one

Overall, hilarious and fun game, would play again, but don't know if it actually follows the theme

Positives

  • Fun, could definitely see this as a casual mobile or web game
  • Music was nice, perhaps a bit drab for a ferris wheel game, but I guess that just makes it more serious
  • Really well done visually, it was a cute and complete design that worked together really well

Needs Work

  • As many others have mentioned, the demolish gondola vanishes your mouse and I had to reload because this blocked me
  • The text is a bit hard to read with its color on the background
  • The text also goes way to slowly. I'm impatient and want to click through it, but clicking skips the text when I was hoping it would just finish typing it

Overall, really well done. Great visual, audio, and enjoyable game loop

Positives

  • Nice choice option to have two paths
  • Sound design is good

Needs Work

  • There's not enough going on to make the game really enjoyable, there isn't challenge
  • Art isn't the greatest, but I am pretty bad at that part of things so no judgement

Overall, a good, simple game

Positives

  • Good story theme
  • Voice Acting, while not properly mixed at times, I applaud anyone who attempts it
  • Definitely a spin to win lol

Needs Work

  • Voice mixing
  • Should probably be made a little more in favor of the player

Overall, a nice quick game with a clear goal and loop

Overall, a nice quick game with a clear goal and loop

Positives

  • Very tense! I don't play horror games so I probably have a lower threshold but I was on edge for a good bit of the gameplay
  • The cranking mechanic was well done and added nicely to the stress of situations
  • The sound design was done well

Needs Work

  • I wish the forest was a little more mazeish
  • There was a few Y-sort issues where the notes were visible on top of the player when I was below a note
  • The conclusion story bit went past and I was back to the main menu before I could read it

Overall, really well done!

Positives

  • You have sound
  • Nice visuals with the lines
  • Controls felt good, like I was fighting the momentum but still able to have control

Needs Work

  • Wasn't sure what my goal for the game was. Was this just meant to run in the background as a cool pattern maker? Was I supposed to not get knocked off? (Which apparently I couldn't because it seems the edge is walls and not a pit)
  • Needs clearer indication of who you are controlling, and what the controls are

Overall:

Could be a good prototype for a more fleshed out game. Not bad for a jam. Needs a goal though. Like I could see this being a beyblade-esque game, where maybe you have to use your hits wisely to knock your opponent(s) out of the ring, but it might slow down your spinning and movement speed

Right now, the score increases after each complete answer to a question. Do you think it would be better or more satisfying to have it increase/decrease after each word that's chosen?

I like the core mechanic, but it needs tuning.

As far as I can tell, there is no limit to your clockwork winding, not even really one on how quickly you can wind it. So I made it to the boss in 2-3 jumps. There's also no a clear health system, so I assume it's tied to the winding, but I was winding so quickly I never noticed. The only threat I faced was jumping over the edges and falling endlessly.

The music is great.

Overall, there just needs to be some kind of limitations or consequence for winding too much. The world moving faster is great, unless you can skip all platforming by jumping super high. And in combat the winding felt less useful/consequential.

Shocking how enjoyable I found this game to be. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. My only real note is that landing correctly feels random. Maybe this is a skill issue for me, but every time a task required landing correctly after some kind of trick, I got it by chance and couldn't land correctly when actually trying to. Probably just a skill issue. Great game!

Overall, fun! The mechanic is unique and enticing. I particularly like using the LMB to slingshot myself, especially for the annoying enemies that rotate to follow you. The lack of sound is the biggest disconnect. Adding simple sound effects and a music track would vastly improve things

I have realized that because I didn't do proper playtesting, I missed a massive game-breaking bug. Despite this being after the deadline for the game jam, I am going to fix this bug, but I'm making this comment so it can be taken into consideration:

Despite that backtracking is made to be key in the game, because I set the passages to open on goblin death, backtracking puts you into a locked room with no exit
