Glad you like it :D

No promises, but maybe a cheap and cheerful text based level editor?

I'll try to remember to give you a nudge if I ever add it.

Thanks so much for the feedback ^_^

I hope add more levels soon, and I imagine some of those will be smaller levels that i can put nearer to the start :)

I could probably make the tutorial panels a little bigger. I've had mixed feedback about tying the tutorials to those blocks that require electricity. Some love it and some would rather the tutorial panels are always visible in the level

The button seems to have appeared now. Thanks for the help :)

That's the one. It seems to just open discord, without any new channels or buttons appearing.

The discord link does not seem to be working for me?...

How did you set up the online leader board?

The story is a bit of an afterthought to be honest. I'm glad you liked it :)

the graphics are a bizarre mix of 2D and 3D, so perhaps that is the issue?

In any case, I'm glad you liked the game! :D

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it ^_^

it's perhaps not the most clear thing in the world but you magic is slowly draining (see right hand side bar). If it runs out, your bubble will pop

Interesting game :)

I like this. It's a nice twist on frogger. The addition of the beer reducing each time adds a slight element of strategy. As a little game jam game, this does quite well.

Would be cool to see some extra enemies or perhaps selectable player drinks with different speeds and number of lives? Perhaps wine only is a smaller glass with only 2 lives, but it's a bit faster?

You've got a nice idea here and the art looks lovely, but some elements of the design don't quite make sense.

For example, you can shoot mulitple bubbles at once, which is really fun! BUT, there isn't much incentive to do that. It makes it harder to keep the bubbles in the air, but you don't really gain anything in return.

I think the power ups could do with being a little clearer. I was avoiding all of them until I accidentally hit one. Then I proceeded to aim for "the red power up" and was disappointed to discover that the reward for that one was death. Perhaps the red one could be triangular? Or some other non-circular shape? The power-ups would benifit from the addition of sparkles or or something. Anything to make them look like something you want to interact with.

You have a very interesting idea here. You just need some tweaks to really bring it together.

Glad you liked it. :)

Interestingly, every power up in on the main menu (including the one that was cut)

Glad you liked it :)

Glad you liked it :)

yep, that little jingle is probably my favourite part of the game

That's exactly the response I always hope for when I make games. Thank you very much :)

Oh yes, very very rushed. I had work on the friday and it was everyone's first time entering a game jam as part of a team. (which is more of a logistical nightmare than one might think).

Glad you enjoyed the concept :)

Glad you noticed. This was intentional, but I tried not to rely on the oredering too much in the end. We didn't have any kind of checkpoint system and I was trying not to make a puzzle game for once. Although, I have recieved reports that this is still a puzzle game... whoops

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. There was a lot that had to be cut due to time, so it's very nice to hear it wasn't a complete disaster ^_^

Well I'm glad you enjoyed yourself XD

Where is it?
Not sure why that message posted so many times...

Yeah that would be great. The jumping sound is the worst offender. In fact, the jumping sound is so loud compared to everything else that I can't recall what other sounds are in it. Not to belittle your efforts though. I can't make a monitor look that pretty.

Yeah I think that could help a lot. Maybe even just increasing the deceleration would be enough to make it feel more snappy.

I understand you are going for a so bad it's good type of game, but it is just a bit of a horrorfying mess. I hope you like it at least.

A game made in scratch! :D
Oh sweet sweet memories.

This is a nce game. It is not the most playable thing in the world, but that is mostly a result of the tool you are using to make it.

All in all it is a nice little game (Better than anything I ever managed in scratch). Well done

Well, that is retro. It looks like it was pulled out of some long forgotten game system, but I must admit it is a very very boring game. Why? Well, it's not your fault. This is golf, but slower and monochrome. Nobody could make that fun.

Simple game. Easy to play. Well done :)

Could do with a few more enemy types or something. It does get samey rather quick.

Oh and personally I liked the square CDs, so take what ever you want from that

Nice little project you've got there.

I'd advice turning down the volume a bit. The music is quite a shock to the system when you first turn on the game.

Also, try to make your controls clear WITHIN the game itself, this is advice that I have not followed, in my submission, but it is important to helping people understand your game when you have unusual controls.

One more thing, I am not much of a music fn myself, so I may be wrong, but I think the beats and the blocks are lining up wrong. The 3 beats in quick succession should match up with the 3 blocks, shouldn't they?

There is not much of a game here, but he sure is running.

This sound effects are way to loud and narration is way too quiet.

Very pretty but I am not sure I fully understood why I was being attacked by the boom box man or how to fend him off. Perhaps he is only meant to appear later in the game and his appearing in the first 10 seconds was a bug?

I never saw the boom box.
Did I just miss it?

Have you tried the challenges? :)
They pop up if you replay a completed level

really? I wasn't aware this was a feature in any game, let alone one as famous as pacman. I'm amazed I've never noticed

Movement has been changed. What do you think now?

(1 edit)

You can use either. I would particularly encourage using WASD for this very reason. (See game description)

Simple and fun :)

This game is a bit of a buggy mess, but honestly it is one of my favourite games of the jam for the concept alone.

Challenge for next year. A game without words. I think it will challenge you to tidy up the design a bit :)
