The "too short" solution is actually a bug!  I'm not sure what happened, I have to go through my notes again.

I thought about more freedom in placing cards but because the requirements are very picky I couldn't think of a way to make that friendly.  After I finish my jam review I'll be poking at the bug and then some other features.

you can currently plant on weeds, which turns them into cereal crops on top of weeded soil, but the weed model itself never goes away.  This causes weeds to accumulate in tiles.  

Both my robots and myself seem to have trouble getting around in a tight space near the start.

Near the starting area in this file, when I attempt to get to the sticks box from, say, in front of the workshop, my character will head north first, then go all the way around the back side of the boxes, then come up from the south.  This is a minor annoyance, though, compared to what one of my robots is doing.

Watch Rich, a bot whose job it is to turn planks into sticks.  At the moment of the save, you'll note he's waiting at the input to his sawmill with a stack of poles.  This is because, approximately half the time, when attempting to move to the poles box, he stops one tile short (at the planks box), then runs back over to the sawmill without dropping off his poles or picking up a new plank.
