I actually like the idea of the movement/input method, even tho i rarely managed to go fast! 8 directions would have felt better I think?
The character started facing up, so I misread it as an ice wall rather than top down and that I was ice climbing.
I was also surprised there wasn't an earlier lvl where u have no exploration, but just learn the basics. i think that could have helped get familar with it^^ Also not every wall needed to be an evil wall of slowness! :D
This was very funny and i love the effort that went into the assets :D I think maybe some extra way of schwivveling the car other than the mouse movement could have easily made it feel more intense. Maybe grabbing the wheel and clicking and rotating it could have worked too? Maybe my god damn mouse is just in need of retirement >_>
Gj and congratz to the team for the entry!
Fristly, good job on your first completed game!! :)
The sound when holding down the pewpew button sounded like I was shooting stuff inside a reverberating tin can :D It's kinda funny that the sound will stop you from doing the thing that is probably the most effective at deleting those enemies!
Really enjoyed to be able to go sideways in this, didnt quite feel like i was moving with a tank, but with the right visual/animation, you could totally sell this movement.
You are more than welcome to ask any questions over on discord :)! Not all of us are active in the jam group, but I can for sure connect you with the right person for the topics you got. We actually failed last minute to put our team logo relating to the "party foul" (which was our working title) and the updated custom project icon, but I can share the team logo here! Billy was played like a hundred thousand times while we were at it, good song to descend into madness during a jam!
May I ask if you mean queasy as in motion sick or something else?
Thank you so much for giving it a shot either way!
(You probably DID eat the pizza, but there is no fx for it, maybe not even a sound, it also does just lower your drunkness and nothing else :P Just as evil as the cacti.)
really love the character :3 Simple and charming design!
I got confused with that blue rope appearing multiple times when I was trying to pull onto the cubes, like a spammy effect that I wasnt sure was intended? The cubes were a bit too schmall for me to handle reliably, so I couldnt quit enjoy the movement you had intended I think, but I love the type of movement when it did work!
Maybe you could make it so that one can still access the controls page once you enter the game and wanna check it again :)!
I found the movement incredibly intuitive, loved how simple it was and the nice follow through of the animation - very smooth! as a fan of plump animals I was also endeared by the plump reindeer ofc :D
I found it a bit hard to read the instructions while i was playing the game so I missed some stuff, but overall it was quite obvious what to do so it wasn't too bad to skip some tut messages. Often obstacles spawned in the way of the pick up ring so it seemed unavoidable to lose some speed :< Good to see another bigger team give a 3D game a shot and have some time to do "luxury" things like that jiggly christmas tree :D nice job overall!
I can see how with a bit of time spend polishing this it could be really satisfying and a neat quick time reation game! I liked the push and pull of when you give inputs vs when you let the lvl move the character. There is quite some hilarity potential with accidental inputs and good splat fx :D The character design is already so neat with the fishbowl head! I also felt like the different grounds and obstacles were more clearly visible than with some of the more visually refined games in this jam, which helps so much if you only have a split second to react! def keep that lvl of clarity for the visuals :)!! gj!
Couldn't play for too long since I was getting motion sick, never quite so clear to me what triggers it, cause with racing games it s usually just fine :/ Something about the car conrols felt a bit slippery, so I ended up taptaptaping the keys, which maybe is not what you envisioned for the player input :o
The environment elements and snowmen looked really good... and melting them down as a car felt oddly satisfying :D good job!
Love the art style and sound, have to look up the artist some more :3
I had trouble contolling the game, was playing standing up and looking over my shoulder with my ringfinder on D and index on A. I thought that was hilarious actually and it helped me, so why not :D
Wish there could have been some more epic frames of animation for the jump and sled schwivveling behind the dog. Could it be that the snow particles are to blame for some lag? It starts right when then show up for us :0
Dash along the floor to speeeeeeed and get past the multi ice platform room. It's tight! Good luck. Nice game! Most of the feedback I d agree with was already given except maybe use a slightly different shade of blue for the ice so people don't associate it so much with Celeste visually cause the game looks nice actually and it's all great, custom art!
I don't usually play cozy games (except Wanderstop), but maybe... I should? This calmed me down so much and I really enjoyed the writing. Made me wonder how Audio and Graphics are a voting category, but Story/Writing isn't, when often enough there is more custom text than custom sounds produced in these jams. Heart was warmed, thank you for making <3
(PS: Hooray, you have other games to play :)))
Hilarious....NO idea how you came up with this concept, but I love it. Took a moment for us to process the info on screen, but once we had a grasp of the game there was a lot of shouting over what to pick and when to throw interns. If it was a bit better tutorialized it could be much harder and I'd gladly play more!

Okay I did beyond terribly, so I asked a god gamer friend to play instead. He's got bad eye sight so he had trouble reading the font and identifying the items, so hey I got to contribute with my eyeballs :D There was some serious cheering the frist time we managed to throw a dish at a customer after restarting 5 or so times. I wish the tentacles had a bit of magnetism to them once you held something with them but then switch or there was a safe box to store things in. Holy space cow. Tough game :D Good job!
Discovered that you could spam clones and filled the screen with yetis :D Oh noes! But then continued with honor to play it "properly". Unsure the clones are necessary at all, or maybe they should be spawned from the same ressource you use as the drawn ramps. Like a little x drawing that will shoot a yeti at that spot from the first one? Music fits the game, but never sure how to rate if the music isn't created by the team.
Overall had quite some fun and i can see the lvls further escalating, gj!
Someone has seen the end!! Thank you so much! We are a bit worried about people sticking it out with the performance issues and shader crash & cachery :D Hope to update the game after the voting period to feature more of the team's ideas that didn't make it in for the jam (or were simply out of scope) for the people that enjoy the game.
I followed the wip art of your game via the discord group, so nice to see how it came together, we should have done some sharing ourselves!
For a while I was progressing without really learning how to play the game, once I was actually doing THE THING and if felt epic it was over after two more gos, so that was a bit unfortunate :O
Also I was totally just clicking the upgrades at random since I could often afford many of them so the choice didn't seem so meaninful. I would have also loved to be able to look ahead more to see whats coming. maybe the character should be more left on the screen or maybe a little preview of the lvl would help?
Now that all sounds terribly critical, but actually I did have fun and I love the look of the game a lot! Seems like things that can be polished easily cause you already did all the hard work :)! Good job!
OH I think you are onto something with the Pizza. It could extend the drunkmeter by a bit? So the level gets easier if you manage to recover?
That could work super well in case we wanted longer lvls. We did see some people keep on eating the pizza, even tho they know it's bad for them, but yeah atm it's just a joke/trap. Thank you for playing and the notes :)!
