Thanks for checking it out! Yeah the moving while hacking is definitely a bug.

Headphones would be very useful as directions are panned. Front is up, back is down. So a good way to think of the hacking is the higher (upper) sound is up, and the lower sound is down. The ones panned to left and right are for left and right.

Thanks! I've updated it since your post and made the attenuation a bit more present.

The hacking game is memory based. You don't have to input the sequence in any specific rhythm. You may have been experiencing a bug where the buttons stop working. I've not sorted out how to fix this yet.

Thanks for checking it out!

It's due to some stupid permissions thing.  I've updated the game.Try it again and see if it works.

Oh I think I was updating the game when you tried downloading it. Sorry.

Thanks for giving it a try!

The navigation could definitely be a bit cleaerer. This is first person. Left and right turn the character and back and forward move you back and forth in the direction you're corrently fasing.  I plan to have that more clearly explained in the tutorial.

The hacking is meant to appear wireless. Meaning you just have to be in range of the enemy to hack. I think there is a bug where you can hack without being in range.

You not knowing what exactly it does can better be indicated too. I'm thinking of adding some kind of malfunctioning loop to the robots so that you immediately recognize that something is wrong with the robot due to you hacking it.

The left and right hacking sounds are panned to the left and right. I can try panning them a bit more.

I plan on doing quite a few more updates to this.

Thanks again for checking it out!

Thanks for checking it out. I'm sorry you had some issues playing.

Hm I think a better explanation of how the movement system is needed.

When you press back and forward, you move one step in that direction. Pressing left or right changes the direction you're facing, but does not move you in that direction.

Hitting a wall does play a sound, but I suppose it could be more specific.

You're right, there is not specific rhythm. The key not working when you press it is a big I'm tryig to figure out.

I do have some plans on adding more specific instructions and some better navigation.

Thanks again for checking it out.

Wow that was amazing! I was working on a game with similar controls and am very impressed you got first person controls working so well. I really like what you did with letting the player know they're close to a wall.

Did you use something like Steam Audio for your reverb calculations?  It was very easy to find where things were and I never felt like I was lost.

I could easily see this turning into a full story driven game similar to Mouth Washing if you've ever heard of that. The one thing I'd suggest is have an objective reminder.

Oh, there was one bug that happened where I paused the game for a bit to do something, then unpaused it and the interactions stopped working. I ended up having to restart the program, but because you had a save system, it worked perfectly after that.

Good puzzle there at the end too with the power management.

Man, that was such a great experience!

Oh and the voice acting and story were also really amazing as well!

The build up and music choices were really great. The voice recording at the beginning was also really cool and helped to build suspense.

The game itself was a bit confusing though. I unfortunately couldn't make it through night 1.

EDIT: I got to night 2! And the only thing that I get confused about is the one on the right.  Whenever I focus on the right, I don't hear anything. I'll give it a few more tries later, but  this is the only thing holding me back because I don't know if something's actually there.

I'd hear footsteps, focus over there, and nothing's there. I was able to shoot sometimes, but I'm wondering if it's always in the middle.

The gun is ONLY for the right side, correct? Or is it for when I hear something on the left or middle, I open the window and shoot?

I also am frantically flipping through frequencies but didn't hear anything as of yet.  This is probably all user error, but I think the gun mechanic could be a bit clearer. Otherwise, it's good!

The fact I have to hold E to sooth her really adds tension to it.

I say keep working on it.

This was really fun. I had to force myself to stop so I'd have time to check out some of the other games. I really enjoyed the way you had to arrange the rooms and enjoyed how it felt to play this on the controller.

Really awesome touch with the voice acting as well. The dynamic music was a nice touch and he gold shrine put a smile on my face. Good work!

I like the idea of an exploratory game, but there were some issues I faced.

Upon opening the game, I didn't hear anything. I opened up Windows Magnifier and saw that it was looking for a room code. I just put in something random and hit "Host Game"

From there, I was placed in the game. I heard footsteps when I was walking, but only for a little bit, then I got lost. I looked closely at the screen and notice there was a green and blue patch of land and water. When walking around on there, I could hear footsteps, but still wasn't quite sure what to do.

After walking around, I noticed there were some items on the ground to pick up. There was no sound indicating I could do that though or even when I was near them, so I was at first confused. After picking up the items, I found them in my inventory.

I like the fact that the voice read out what I had.

I opened up the instructions, but had to arrow through them for it to begin talking. I found my way to the crafting menu and was able to craft a fire, but was wishing there was a fire sound effect.

I figured out that I could put sticks on the fire. to keep the fuel going.

After a while though, I was at a loss for what to do.

Overall, I think this is an okay start, but I'd really focusing on instructing the player through sounds on what to do and where to go. Also placing some walls in the area so we don't end up wandering off into the void.

Thanks for checking it out! Yeah I may have gotten a bit happy with the reverb.

In the first area, you turn 90 degrees. In the second area you have 45 degree turns. I might reactivate full degrees of movement and then  identify when you're turning a specific direction.

Nice! I'll probably be updating it here and there.

This is a really unique idea! Unfortunately, as someone who is partially blind, the text in the farmer's box is very hard to read because of the bright background and green text. Plus the text was written in a cursive/script font which ade things even more tricky. Also, for some reason, I was unable to buy the garlic when I had 5 coins. I still think it's a great game though! I love how you incorporated the actualy recipe into the game.

This is intriguing. I enjoyed the art style although I got stuck on the maze for a bit. There were a few little issues with the electrical puzzle and not knowing what to do at first. But got that sorted out.

I tried playing, but was a bit confused on what to do or where to go. I am thinking the maps are a bit too large and I got a bit overwhelmed.  I did enjoy the dialogue though!

This is way too much fun!!

Wow this is such a great piece of work! I recall watching the showcase and feeling the emotion and passion you put in this is really amazing, especially with what's going on in your real life.  I also love the cultural history.

THis is pretty cool. I like how things were different colors from an accessibility standpoint. It made things easier to see. It was a bit tricky to figure out how to match things at first though.

WOW that was a fun little game! Thanks for sharing a bit of your culture. I don't see a way to use spoiler tags, so I'll just say I was SAURE one of those was the good ending. You had some great twists in this.  I enjoyed the tongue and cheek writing style.

Also, thank you for using my song and I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this

i want Bob’s lunch!

And that’s awesome you found away around item tracking. That will be useful to someone else googling this for sure!

My MIDI keyboard (electric piano controller) broke and I tried many things to fix it. In the end, I just bought a new one.

Hm says the Steam version isn't compatible with Mac 10.15 but this demo works fine. Did something change?

Other than that... WOW just this demo was an experience. And the audio was very impressive!

Where? I don't see it? What's it called?

Thank you so much for checking it out! Yeah,  it was really important for the characters to come across with their own little personality traits, so I'm glad it showed. And yeah, the jumping is a little janky. xD

WHAT?? There's dynamic music TOO?? I'll add this to my collection and try again. I don't get whythe audio didn't work. What engine was it built in? I think I had issues with all the games from this engine.

Hm, I thought I read somewhere on the page that it was your first game. Oh well, I'll check the settings again.

Thanks for pointing this out.

It was quite a nice SMB clone. The difficulty ramped up pretty quickly though.

I really liked the design and thought it was generally a lot of fun. This was really clever, especially for your first game.

The only tricky part was clicking on things to grapple on to while in midair due to the camera movement. Maybe a more generous length or some kind of lock would help that. I do like the momentum based physics though.

I got stuck at the part where you had to grapple multiple times in the air.

EDIT: From reading the other comments, it seems the game DOES have audio. For whatever reason, it won't play in Safari. I'll try in a few other browsers.

Again, great job!

This is quite an interesting take on a clicker game. I love the idea of Cloud Storage Tycoon. I was a bit confused as to how to progress though. It'd be great if there was a bit more explained like others have mentioned. At certain points, the Base OPs stopped moving on their own and I couldn't get money, even after raising or lowering the price.

I'm putting this in my collection as it is very interesting.

Not to piggyback on the other comment, but have to agree on the great level design. I enjoyed reading the signs as well. And congrats on this being your first jam!

That was quite fun. I loved the smooth camera movements. That really made it feel polished. The shrinking in midair as a mechanic was also pretty cool.

The only part I had issues with was dashing. This may have been due to an issue where if you were holding a directional button, sometimes the jump didn't trigger.

Also, I was unsure of if there was a level end. I found the "end of the world" sign, but thought there'd be some kind of "Yay you won" or something. Maybe there is, but I have been playing for around 20 minutes, but couldn't find it.

Still a fun game overall. Great work!

PS: As a sound designer, I must say, that "pop" sound was extremely satisfying.

Thanks! Yeah the inputs are a bit janky. Thanks for checking it out. :)

Hey thanks for trying it out! Hmm yeah that was an oversight in instructions. After collecting all of the items, the gate on the right opens, and you can roll the snowball to the right where it will land in the pile of snow on the right.

That was a fun little game with a nice story.
