Bug: getting crew from icebergs breaks the boat's position (which already had a crewmember on it), making it offscreen. I think it's related to the forward movement in the animation when the iceberg breaks and the flying crewmember hovers for a while while they say "im forever indebted to you".

IDK if it also happens if you fail at getting the crewmember, or if the boat is empty (with the new crew thus sitting at the boat).

Note that while the boat's position is wrong, it's purely visual, and hovering the mouse over the correct place where it should be triggers the crewmember's tooltip.

I got "Nothing but blood in the desolate field" on my first win, which was a full board clear.

Some things that were unintuitive at first as a new player:

- Flask: it says it's a consumable, so i thought that when i used it it would be gone and i would have to craft a new one with leather. Which would of course be too expensive for only 15 extra stamina, so the first time i used it was after probably dozens of runs.

- Mageflare Rune: I thought it disabled darkness for the rest of the run. I unlocked it very early, well before having to deal with darkness, so i found it very expensive. So maybe i thought that because the notion of an consumable this expensive that only creates light for a brief moment seemed implausible.

- Violetheart Pendant ("+2 Stamina Regen"): I expected it to affect the regen turn counter, just like regen upgrades. I crafted it specifically to use with Mistral (which has faster regen), found that equipping it didn't change the regen counter size, and thought it didn't do anything because i had hit a cap on regen.

Note that nowhere in the game there is a reference to "stamina regen" as a stat meaning the amount of stamina gained when the regen bar fills, except in the description of the violetheart pendant. While there is a stamina regen stat referring to the size of the regen counter. So i took for granted that you only gain 1 stamina when the bar fills, and that this is not a stat, and that the only "regen" stat is the size of the counter. It should say "regen gives 2 extra stamina" or something like that.

- When i first reached stone (or was it granite? i don't remember), i thought it was water, since the texture looked like water. I didn't know there was water in the game, so it wasn't because i was already expecting it.

I'm interested in the time elapsed in order to optimize time efficiency, not speedrunning (although now that you mentioned it i think it could be cool to try that too).

It really needs a trip report, saying how much you mined of each resource, and the time elapsed.

Ideally also the resources spent (tool and boot durability, consumables, etc).

It would be cool to be able to dig up (without moving upward, just destroying the block above). I think it could lead to interesting strategies.

It could be a special item or turtle or something.

Maybe it could destroy more than 1 block at once. Like, break the 4 blocks in a line above. Or a 2x3 area above.

I tried using plater cargo on a spice and the plater disappeared without changing the spice. If it's not supposed to work on spice then nothing should happen, without the plater being consumed.

Carp: "He will +4 any cargo piece that drops to 2."

Game: "Do you want this awesome crewmember or a plated cargo?"

Me: " WOW the synergy is super OP, of course i want the plated!"

Carp: Doesn't do anything to plated cargo.

The description should be updated to say "non-plated".

Your idea of playing a game is clicking everything as fast as possible without giving half a thought about what you are doing.

You didn't love this game, and you don't play it when you're bored.

Username checks out 😂

How do you get the "cheers of celebrating men" ending? I only ever got the "nothing but blood in the desolate field" ending. I've gotten all achievements already.

I've tried winning without exploding the mines, but still desolate field. I've tried winning the 1.0.0 version, without board clear, and the image is the same as "celebrating men" (jorge killing the dragon), but with a different poem.

The ending image of "desolate field" is the same as the board clear stamp, which makes me think that maybe after you get your first board clear, the ending is always going to be "desolate field". Which is sad if true, because i cleared the board on my first win, my third ever run.

How do you get this ending? I only ever got the "Nothing but blood in the desolate field" ending. I don't know what triggers each ending. You clearly didn't spare the lovers, rats or egg, so that can't be it. I've gotten all achievements and still never got this ending.

Did you kill the gnome by revealing all empty squares? Did you kill the mine king and blow up all mines? Wizard (aka slime king) which drops the slime scroll?

It credits "Daniel Benmergui" in the description. But the site is clearly not made by him. There is no link or mention of itch.io or any payment form.

The description was obviously written by an AI that doesn't know anything about the game other than the name and the tips in the monsternomicon. No one that played it for more than 10 seconds would write that.

Also, the version in the homepage is the old one. The new one is available through the menu, with a similarly AI-generated description with made-up wrong information and self-contradictions.

It's an automatically generated site. Whoever did this must be doing it with tons of other games too. I don't know why. There doesn't seem to be any ads (yet?).

It's ironic how it says in the footer: "© 2025 Dragonsweeper.com All rights reserved."

What's the mechanic of p5 Green Slime? Do you mean the slime scroll, which reveals all slimes? Or the ambiguity with the other p5 monsters? Is there anything else?

The main danger of it is that when you're trying to kill it you can accidentally hit a more powerful monster or a mine.

What cheat mode?

What do you mean?

You need to give the player info in order to make decisions. E.g. "+50% Dig Speed" instead of "Mining Drone Dig Speed I". Show the all the specifications of all research, equipment and drones. Also tooltips showing the dig difficulty, material yield and coolant cost of a block when you mouse over them. Number of each type of drone, and how many of each type are idle.

Without this kind of info, the player can't make informed strategic decisions, which makes the decisions uninteresting.
