Yes. It either prompts the same error or outright crashes.

Well some of the games explicitly required me to update the renpy version to play but conveniently enough never broke anything that ran on old code still. This is the first game that's had this issue for me. With plugins for Joiplay, you can have both say a version of renpy 7 and a version of renpy 8, but you can't have multiple versions of renpy 7 or renpy 8 since your effectively updating the plugin not adding a completely separate one. At least I think that's how that works. But I genuinely don't understand why the newer versions of Joiplay don't recognize older versions of the renpy plugin for me in the first place. I spent a couple hours trying to get it to work but reinstalling the current version of renpy 8 works fine. If someone has a way around the issue of not being able to have multiple renpy 8 versions as plugins in Joiplay and know a way to force it to recognize the older version I'm all ears, but until then I'm kinda just stuck waiting for this game to get updated to the new code.
That's unfortunate then, because I'd need to downpatch Joiplay in order for it to recognize that version of the renpy plugin. I tried downloading it but I couldn't get it to show up as a plugin in Joiplay. The newer version of renpy 8 also overwrites the old one. You can't have both, and downloading that older version would break a multitude of other games that run off the newer code of 8.5. guess I'll just have to wait for the update...
Preference? Some games don't have apk versions, I like having everything consolidated to one place especially since it allows me to choose the file location myself when the android data folder isn't easily accessible. Not to mention apks are usually downscaled in quality when my phone is capable of running things with a windows emulator that my gaming laptop can run. I don't like playing deep fried games that are compressed into oblivion to run through an apk for sake of it running through an apk. Why keep the install instructions on the page, implying it's supported if it's not? That's such a dismissive response for a "supported" platform for your game being broken.
So this project is definitely dead. No updates since I played it a year ago. Their discord seems to have been hacked? Downloads on patreon unavailable.
Figured I'd try the game again since I got a new device and didn't want go through the tedious grind again which was my biggest critique last time especially with it being so full of bugs. The scenes were great so it's the only reason I enjoyed the game. But anyway I subbed for $5 and can't figure out for the life of me how to activate cheats. There is no separate apk for members only to download and even if there was all of the links on patreon are broken. I checked their discord for maybe any sort of clue or guide and guess what? It's seemingly been hacked. Did the dev fall off a cliff or something? Now I have to go through the process of seeing if patreon can refund me because this developer is obviously not active at all anymore. I might also report them to patreon as well at this point since this is borderline a scam.
Honestly, it's not worth your time playing and DO NOT under ANY circumstances sub to their patreon. You will not get what you subbed for and you'd be basically subbing to a dead man for all we know.
I'd say "temporarily discontinued" instead of cancelled. Outright cancelling a project in an indie space feels wrong to me unless you genuinely dont have any passion left that game. You dont have a deadline so why not just take a break from it and come back to it when your ready. There's a ton of people really into CoM so canceling it all together just doesnt seem like the right move. Honestly, you do you, but there are tons of indie devs out there who get a really bad rap for not finishing games before moving to their next projects because they werent making enough money. It's understandable, but if the income is what drives your passion you will inevitably drive yourself into a corner in the indie space. I hope that's not the case and it really is all about mental but I dont see a reason to completely cancel the project then, but what do I know? Good luck with your future projects, hopefully things get better for you. 🤞
Definitely looks and plays alot better than before. The ui is a lot clearer. Only thing im confused about is where did most of the scenes go? Did they get moved to the subscriber version? Im missing a ton in the gallery and yet every character just says no more content. I'd love to support the gsme but unfortunately it's through subscribestar. I only pay through secure third parties like PayPal, even though they where involved with the whole delisting scandal. Subscribestar only allows direct payment which even though its a trusted site it still sketches me out. I personally dont like anyone having my information unless its a bank or bank adjacent like payment partners.
I do however want to clarify that I dont agree with either solution. Censorship online is a dangerously slippery slope which could cause the destruction of the internet as a whole. I'm only saying that if I had to choose, it would be the lesser of the 2 evils, rather than nuking every single adult game on the market across all platforms. Steam an itch got hit HARD because of these changes and I doubt it'll stop there. This issue is much bigger than just losing our perfectly legal adult games. We have a rough ride ahead of us.
I still dont understand why payment partners are so up in arms over nsfw games. If you can pay for a game you are most likely an adult who should be allowed to play these games. What are they thinking? Do they just want nsfw creators to not have an income or something for no reason? What is their unjustified hatred for these devs about?
I've played dozens of AVNs. Choices absolutely mean shit in 70% of them. In a game where there is almost no indication on what your choice meant, I would preferably like have a walkthrough of sorts. The game is still relatively small so I'd understand not having one currently but as this game gets bigger, it might be a good idea for a system to be implemented to better track your standing with the girls or at least a written walkthrough.
Is there a walkthrough or do choices not matter enough to need it? I HATE making a choice and then 30 minutes later realize that i missed a scene because of it and end up replaying the entire game for one scene. I understand the "it takes the fun out of it" arguement but that's just not the way I like to play VNs. I'd rather get the full story in one go with all scenes or at least know which route to pick to get the most scenes so I dont have to play through as many times.
Nah like whats even new in 1.3.4? Am i just missing something?
"Here's what's new:
- Almost 20,000 words
- 24 new animations
- 500+ images
- Futa on Futa content
- Lewd scenes, new music, sex sounds and so much more!"
I found none of this I'm pretty sure. Am I misunderstanding? Is this not talking about 1.3.4?
