I still dont understand why payment partners are so up in arms over nsfw games. If you can pay for a game you are most likely an adult who should be allowed to play these games. What are they thinking? Do they just want nsfw creators to not have an income or something for no reason? What is their unjustified hatred for these devs about?

Apparently it's an organisation called "Collective Shout" which has some deep influence on the payment processors. Don't ask me how exactly that works out, but that seems to be the case.

ugh that's so dumb. Their whole movement is to protect children from porn, so I'd understand making it so any NSFW game requires you to pay or prove your age to play, but taking down all NSFW games regardless of requiring payment or not is going a step too far.

Yeah, I definitely agree, this situation just escalated too quickly imo.

I do however want to clarify that I dont agree with either solution. Censorship online is a dangerously slippery slope which could cause the destruction of the internet as a whole. I'm only saying that if I had to choose, it would be the lesser of the 2 evils, rather than nuking every single adult game on the market across all platforms. Steam an itch got hit HARD  because of these changes and I doubt it'll stop there. This issue is much bigger than just losing our perfectly legal adult games. We have a rough ride ahead of us.
