I mean that is the best part...

I just got jebaited into playing minesweeper and i'm fine with that

weird, it's working on my system (gentoo linux), I'd like to help but I don't quite know enough to be able too,.. only thing i could think is maybe you need a different version of wine/proton, or DXVK .. hope this helps a bit..

This is making me glad i stopped associating with mgtow, Just like anything with potential people have to ruin it.

those files tend to be fine, but i wouldn't advise advertising the site or that you use it to download any game...

@Ghryst That's Strange because I'm just feeding your attitude back to you. HMM. Who started this? The world may never know.

EDIT: My question still stands. Why do you think i'm "swinging the dev's dick"?

@Ghryst That's such a lovely attitude I can see that you had to beat women off with a stick before you turned mgtow.

If you would like to return to civility I'll ask again. Could you explain why you say I'm "swinging the dev's dick"?

>>https://itch.io/post/12950659 an idiot is one who does the same thing EVERY DAY FOR WEEKS AT A TIME and expects a different outcome.

>>https://itch.io/post/12954916 I'm just responding to the comments on MY thread, as a civilised human being does.

Perfect example of "we judge others on their actions, and ourselves on intentions". Bravo, bravo.

Side note: I re-read the thread and still can't see how you say I'm defending the dev. could you explain to me how i'm "swinging the devs dick"

Weird I just checked my save and have the same thing happening, I know it wasn't like this before... perhaps the rendering is bugged in this version.

Do you happen to be using linux?

I see you've met my friend the brick. Don't let him get to you, he just feels the difference in IQ and doesn't know how to respond to it.

you buy it from the guy in front of the tunnel iirc

agreed.

also the linux version of 7zip has a command line option to "eliminate duplication of root folder for extract command" or skip the top dir if it only contains one dir.  It's probably on windows too, but I wouldn't know where to look for it.

I'd argue with Ghryst some more but, he's too concerned with "winning" a game one can only loose.

>your solutions were not solutions.

Objectively wrong, you were complaining about file puke, I gave you two ways to contain it the first preemptively (extract to a new folder), the second automatically (use the itch app). The second of which will also auto updates the game for you.

Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it's bad/dumb. When I manually manage files I put them in a '<game>/<version>/' directory structure. The advantages of this is it's easy to version shift,  fixed bricked installs, mod games, and keeps the archives all organized.

Most of the time I use tools that just manage the files for me( itch app, steam, etc.) only doing it manually when I start modding, speedrunning,  or want to use a program that I  need to build myself.

>*more insults and tilting off the rails.*

what ever you say buddy

Brother, firstly I gave two solutions, you called them dumb. Secondly I wished you luck on your apparent crusade, you insulted me. Next I pointed out how what you were doing was exactly what you were complaining about, you continued to insult me.  The only other person in the thread was just matching your energy.

Though that thread does make for a fun read.

Ah, I see, doubling down didn't work, so now you're going with the "drag them down to my level, and beat them with experience" approach..

ghryst, my brother, you need to take a good hard look in the mirror. You're arguing in the comments of a porn game, with people who were giving advice no less. Then you kept responding giving a chance for it to continue well past it's natural termination point. Furthermore any excuse you have for being here could easily apply to any other person who may end up here. You are no better than the rest of us, go touch some grass, or smoke some grass.

I wish you  luck in your quest of convincing roughly 50%  of developers to start using container folders.....

I think this might be solvable out the box with switching from keysym to keycode... though i've not made a game and haven't even looked at the code

pro-tip always extract an archive into a new folder, worst case you have an un-needed folder, best case you just saved yourself a bunch of trouble cleaning up file-puke.

.. I'm currently using the itch app so it's all taken care of for me LUL

second that it's broken on the linux build, works with the 64 bit windows build under wine though..
