I still don't get this one >_< When reading this comment before playing I was hoping it would be bee pun related...

Cute visuals! Game was fun as well, although I wasn't able to hear any audio for some reason.

Pretty chill (pun intended) game, makes me want FROYO. Small window + art makes things a bit hard to see, but otherwise its good

High score of 204! Sound effects are incredibly satisfying, and the artwork is great. As a person who can barely navigate games with a map I had no idea what I was doing the entire time and yet it was still fun anyways.

I love the aesthetics, visuals + audio! The gameplay's fun as well, although the king moves a bit too slow/the enemy encounters happen a bit too fast. Feels very polished though!!

Wait I realized the problem. The original idea is that the highscore would be an arcade-esque pre-existing one, but I think I made it too high for anyone to beat quickly enough to see that the mechanic works ._.

I'm happy you liked the game! High score is based on local storage, maybe it doesn't work with itch.io's iframe I'd have to test it. Since letting the ball survive if you hit the middle would negate the challenge I originally made it so that would lose score, but I figured giving a second chance to save the ball would be more interesting.

Fin fact 3, this was originally going to be a game about skateboards akin to Tony Hawk but instead you can change the size of the loop. Problem was that I didn’t want to figure out how to code non-circular loop physics

Thanks, I’ll make sure to check out yours once I have the chance!

Fun fact 2, I havent found any other loop themed games that are loop physics based, lmk if you find any

I love this, audio is fine imo, the whole thing is awesome, turn on text to speech for the best experience

Honestly this game's pretty chill + relaxing, I like it!

Thanks! I managed to beat the game now, the combat was pretty fun, although I got through the main loop quickly. I couldn't tell if I beat the final boss or if I lost enough times since (according to the submission page at least) it loops you to the beginning anyways. The artwork + story are good too!

How do you open doors? I'm stuck in the first area after you fall down.

Cool concept + great ambience with the sound effects, I do wish that you could control your own jogging/movement though.

If it helps I made the screen width a bit smaller so you dont have to drag as far to catch the eyes, fullscreen would count as the harder difficulty then

I love the theming of this game, title + out-of-game narrative is awesome. Game itself is really fun too, I think its really interesting how your own bullets can kill you, it adds its own layer of difficulty honestly in a good way. Definitely underrated and Im very happy that I found this

Fun fact, the title would be shoppe instead of shop but it didn't fit well and I didn't want to go through the css relative unit effort of getting it to fit

Very fun + unique art style! Controls felt a bit loose but it was really fun whenever there was a chance to drive really fast

I loved this game, I need more!! I was very sad to see that final level screen. The art style (and tutorial "tip" design) is really cute too! The only thing is that I think it says Tip 9 twice.

Happy you enjoyed it! I'd fix the difficulty if the Jam let me... thats what happens when you have no playtesters lol

Cool concept, great visuals and sound, only problem for me was getting stuck on the first laser level because the laser timings felt inconsistent with the beats of the music ._.

Carbon fiber combos are great, I did an alternating blue and carbon one for lots of money

If you ever end up updating this I got softlocked in my first run because I sold yarn and it didn't return to the shop ._. (I got softlocked again by buying gold yarn without enough of the other types of yarn >_<) UI wise knowing how many rows of the scarf are left+ loops left in a row would be good too! Seriously though this game is too good to be at the bottom of the game jam depths.

Unbelievably underrated game! Unique theme and fun game play, although the tutorial text is a bit small and I was a little bit confused as to how long each scarf was, could you add breaks to the description text above to make it a bit easier to parse? These are knit-picks though (pun intended) and I really hope more people see this!

I think I got stuck in the beginning of the first level (can you double jump?) but I love the art + spy era aesthetic!

Fun game! Managed 10335 score / 40 streak on second try. I love the artwork, I love how the symbols are both distinct and colorblind friendly! Since it starts off slowly it might be cool if the starting speed could be chosen. The tension of the game also lowers a bit when you get a symbol multiple times in a row that you don't have (maybe prevent this from happening more than once in a future edit, if you plan on updates?), but otherwise it is exciting at those faster speeds!

Thanks for playing! <3 Yeah I figured the game would be too hard, I had no one to playtest it and most of my games end up in that zone of "too hard but fun" It actually used to be harder lol. I'm happy you enjoyed it nevertheless, and I'll make sure to check out your submission as well!

Sometimes the sound effects don't all play, I don't know if its a browser issue or a code issue and I don't want to fix it

Also I think the endscreen's misaligned, at least in full screen. After having finished the game I think that none of the levels are too difficult puzzle-wise which is good

Fireballs also feel a bit unnecessary as a mechanic since its a puzzle game, and when the water clears everything with no downside it feels like it trivializes the main puzzle of the game-finding a way back, it also seems to let me skip entire parts of stages sometimes

Fun game fellow bee, music is great, if possible an undo option would be cool to have

I unironically keep driving the car to to beat of the song like its a rhythm game

Love this, I agree that it is peak

It's actually kind of easy, although not really fun, to beat this with the default settings!

Really fun overall, but a few criticisms I have:

- although the mouse is used for aiming, none of the mouse-based controls are stated in the tutorial

-some levels, especially 5 and 6, are easy to get stuck in a position that forces you to restart the level. If these "soft lock" areas were removed or there was some kind of undo button it would be very useful.

-throwing/aiming the magnet feels very unnecessary in most levels

- level 6 seemed much harder then the rest, with it being the only one I couldn't complete. I couldn't tell if the solution I was trying was intended or not, which was throwing the magnet onto the button from the left side.

-The button sprite dimming to a darker green when pressed makes it seem like it can't be pressed again to reset it

Hope this helps with improving the game!
