Oh, I get it

I like that the game is intuitively understandable and simple, but the awkward movement and the menu music spoiled the impression of the game. Overall, the project feels a bit raw. I suggest adding sound settings and tweaking the level a bit because when you're at the top, you don't know where the asteroid will fall. Also, I didn't understand if the game corresponds to the theme of the jam or not :/
Very atmospheric game, a visually pleasing interface, and sprites, along with cool sound design, enhance the interesting gameplay. I missed having a tutorial, but I quickly grasped what was happening. I believe the game fits the theme well, offering a non-standard solution. Overall, I really enjoyed it!
Nice game, the background music and sound effects create a unique atmosphere. I want to compliment the inclusion of a menu and tutorial, as developers often overlook these, but I highly appreciate them. However, I didn't quite understand how the game relates to the theme of the jam, but overall, it's a cool project!
Wow! The most captivating game in the jam with incredibly beautiful visuals and sound design. I really loved the aiming mechanics; I consider it brilliant. The waves became more and more challenging, and personally, I could only get through 9 waves. Overall, there's nothing more to add; the game is perfect, but the Bloom theme doesn't quite fit the game.
I can emphasize the good atmosphere of the game and the pleasant sound design. I didn't understand how to play right away, but over time, I adapted. Perhaps there's a need to modify the level design; personally, I couldn't keep up with all the flowers. Nevertheless, the game is lively overall, thanks to the pleasing animations.
I initially thought my game was the most challenging in the jam, but after playing yours, I changed my mind. It took me numerous attempts to pass the first level. Please adjust the colliders in the game, as they negatively impact the overall gaming experience. Also, consider working on the design and color selection. Personally, I found it difficult to distinguish between blocks and empty sprites. Overall, it's a pleasant game, but it's a shame it lacks music :))
This game is definitely in my personal top list for design in this jam! I really enjoyed the sound design and the ability to adjust the volume – it's something I often miss in other games. But I'm not entirely sure how game relates to the theme of "Bloom.". Also throughout the entire playthrough, one question lingered in my mind: why use the letter 'Z' for jumping instead of the spacebar – it really bothered me. Overall, a fantastic game with minimal flaws and great attention to detail, such as the sprite changing when adjusting the volume.
Interesting puzzle-solving concept that fits the jam theme! Unfortunately, it took me a moment to figure out how things work; a small tutorial would have been helpful. If you iron out a couple of bugs and perhaps add different music, the game could have ranked higher. Overall, I liked your idea and the first demo level. If you indeed made all the images and sprites in the game yourself in 2 days, that deserves tremendous respect. By the way, what's the story behind the game file's name? :=))
Interesting idea! By the way, this is the first Python game I've played, and I really enjoyed the musical accompaniment, and the animations were beautiful. However, I think there are a few shortcomings and suggestions:
- Drops shouldn't go below zero.
- There's no penalty for missed drops (subjective).
- I suggest adding a timer to introduce a competitive aspect (who can catch 30 drops faster).
- As others have mentioned, adjusting the player's speed is necessary.
- Improvement in game design (the game's location) is needed.
Overall, the game is very appealing and would be much better with some of these adjustments.
You've managed to create a pleasant atmosphere! Unfortunately, I didn't understand how to play. I start as a predator, then become the prey, and after the first fight, time stops. I missed having a tutorial and a game menu to restart. Overall, even though the theme doesn't quite match, you have potential
Thank you! The music and flower sprites were created by my friend avoide. You can follow him to keep up with his new masterpieces. By the way, I was shocked when I found out that one player lasted more than 100 seconds; I thought it was impossible. As you suggested, we were considering adding improvements, but unfortunately, due to deadlines, we didn't have time to do so =(
In general, the game turned out enjoyable with good puzzles, complemented by pleasant background music and a nice visual presentation. However, some bugs and challenging levels tarnished the overall experience. Maybe I'm just not good at games, but I couldn't manage to pass the level with the cannons and the green monster. A bit of refinement in the project to eliminate bugs would be great, as the game has an interesting concept.
Thank you for your feedback!
Let me clarify a couple of points. I actually find the game challenging and enjoyable; for instance, my friend managed to survive for 110 seconds. I admit it was my oversight not mentioning the mechanic where getting hit by an enemy bullet disorients the player, making it difficult to aim (to remove this effect, the player needs to collide with a wall). I have included all damage values, life points for flowers and the character in the game description. Additionally, the character has a 1.5-second immunity upon taking damage. I don't think a backstory is necessary; the goal is simply to survive as long as possible.
Thanks again for your feedback; I hope I've clarified any unclear situations. Yes, it was my mistake not detailing these aspects. I hope you enjoyed the g ame!
