How does your entry fit the theme?
You plant seeds each wave and get bonuses from them blossoming or blooming

What would you like feedback on?
If it's even any fun, i feel like the concept has some potential, but everyone who gave it a try said it was boring. What's the issue? Is it variety?

hoho I liked the concept of this one, it was fun to play!
But it's too easy, maybe a timing of attacks system could help it out or just introducing variation to speed of enemies and additional items and buffs.

I liked the wave system and the way upgrades work it fits the theme and adds a fun amount of strategy to the game. I think the reason people told you the game is boring is because the players actions feel empty. You don't give the player enough feedback for their actions. You can try to add some sound effects, particles, slow the game down for a moment when hitting an enemy, and see if it improves the game feel. Your game has good gameplay it just needs more juice and to work on the balance.

I think that this game may become better if there were
1. More enemies with different attacks and health.
2. More flowers and faster progression
3. Music and better graphics.
Stiil cool game :)

I think the concept of a wave game where your buffs are plants that need to grow in order for you to receive them is good. Especially if you have to defend those plants in order to actually get the buffs you planted and reap the rewards, but like you said in the feedback section I do agree it could be more fun. The core of the gameplay is timing left and right arrow key presses to enemies coming on screen, and the skill ceiling for that is very low, so someone that plays the game will almost immediately be basically a pro at the game, there is nothing to learn.

I think this game may actually function better from something like being a top down game, which makes it harder and gives the player more to do.

A few other notes that I think you could achieve in a 3 day time span though:
-some kind of indicator of how much health enemies have. They all have the same sprites but varying health, so idk which ones have more health
-some kind of indicator that the clock is referring to how many rounds something takes. At first I thought it was some currency that i wasnt able to see for some reason
-sound effects/music/and visual effects. Just something to look at and listen to while playing

Overall I think the idea was good but the execution could have been a little better, good submission though!

The game is good, but I suggest working on the design of both enemies and the environment. In my opinion, the current aesthetic doesn't align well with the theme of the game jam :)

Nice system, Background and Background music would be nice as well as some sounds, besides that really good 4 buttons game
