You can decide how much of a cut itch takes from your sales.

Steam, however, has a policy where you always have to give the best deal on their platform. So for example, if your game is 50% off on itch, it has to be 50% off on Steam as well.

Good luck on finishing the game, the demo is nicely put together!

fun little game! :D

climbing the leaderboards add a nice little challenge to the game

Thanks! I have to agree that the game is heavily reliant on reaction time but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do in a game jam :D

oh yeah, after a few minutes of playing, the game starts slowing down. This is due to the fact that the obstacles are never freed from memory after going off-screen… Sometimes I make the simplest mistakes :D

It’s rather unfortunate that I can’t update the game for the duration of the jam voting period, especially since I realized this issue almost immediately after the jam ended.

Godot has a problem with .ogg files not looping in a web build. This can be fixed by calling the finished() signal from the AudioStreamPlayer and simply playing it again through code.

Definitely not the worst problem that a web build can have though… They tend to just completely break sometimes :D

This game is really fun :D

Some things to note: At some point the gas refill would only fill the bar to about 70% or less, probably not intentional? Sometimes my truck would get stuck for a brief moment which felt a little awkward. Also, the music does not loop which leaves me listening to sound effects for the rest of the game hahaha

All in all I really like the progression in this game and it feels satisfying to play!

Nice little game, I lasted 14 days in power. :)

The gameplay loop is a bit simple but I really like how the assets are laid out on a large area like this. It gives the game a grand feel and an enjoyable atmosphere.

Nice!

Your scored more points than there are atoms on Earth!

Thanks for playing. :)

Thank you!!

The shield gathering was intentional since it is actually not even the most optimal way to gather score but feels really cool regardless :D

I audibly laughed at the floating point error when first encountering it during testing and decided to leave it in since it enhances the feeling of “breaking the game”.

Exceptionally well done, this is probably my favorite from the jam submissions.

I absolutely suck when it comes to puzzle games. After beating the game three times, I still couldn’t get through the blue door even though I had the thing for it so take that as you will, could’ve totally been my fault for all I know. :D

The atmosphere of the game is fantastic, I really enjoyed how the music changes according to the game phase. Everything blends in pretty much perfectly. I especially love the huge texts in the sky at the start and end, really gives the feeling that the world is something larger than me.

The only downsides were the jankiness of the platforming, which I know you’re aware of. Secondly, it feld a little awkward how close you had to stand to every puzzle activation.

All in all I would really love to see this get a full version. More trippy puzzles and even trippier solutions!

This is exceptional work for your first published game!

It’s very simple but feels fun to play. One thing I would note is that you can totally cheat the stamina bar by just spam clicking instead of holding.

An online leaderboard would’ve kept me playing for longer, if you’re ever updating this that would be a nice addition :D

Nice concept for sure!

I feel like the enemies could’ve had a stats UI on top of their head or something so that you wouldn’t have to walk back to the info sign every time. But aside from that this is a great little grinding game

Thanks a lot!

I would’ve probably defaulted to arrow key movement if it wasn’t for the bonus challenge of using mouse only controls. One of the many cases where limitations lead to more creative decisions, ha!

Yup, that’s to be expected for a game with literally no text :D But I did understand it after playing a bit!

The rotation of the pieces was awkward, a slight misinput that makes the piece collide with ground would make the piece spin and hard to control. This could be fixed by giving the player better control of the spin or easing the spin into a halt very quickly after removed from collision.

Dropping a key-piece and it infinitely falling through the level could be fixed by just giving them a static position to come back to if they fall. Maybe a piece inventory UI?

That’s all, I hope to see an update to this!

Nice atmosphere on this one!

I beat the game on my first try without understanding the game for the better half, probably needs to be harder or I just happened to be lucky hahaha. Either way I really like the game and the feeling as well.

Fantastic stuff! Got all the upgrades :D

Some challenge and variety in either gameplay or setting (like different place, music, etc.) and an ending would make this even better, but for a jam game that is all extra stuff anyway.

Great stuff! This has a lot of potential imo, the mechanics are sloppy but that’s expected from a short jam.

The atmosphere is also very relaxing and I think if the mechanics matched that a little more it would be a really great game!

Best horror game I’ve played recently

This has that QWOP/Getting Over It -feel to it that just makes me more angry the more I play it. Aside from that it is really fun though :D

Maybe I’ll come back for the leaderboards

Thank you!

I do tend to have a lot of boilerplate code ready for game jams so things like UI and menu functionality are usually very quickly done.

But aside from that the game is fully done in 48 hours!

Thank you! :D I do wonder if any asset packs were left unused with over 700 submissions

Sick game!! Although I did feel like the banana tree was too overpowered Anyway I liked the feeling of this :)

Such a fun feeling in this game! It’s very cute :D

Fun game! Although a bit unintuitive on the controls, I constantly select the wrong items on the countertops :D

FIS!

Hoping this comes out good! gl on the project :D

Yes!! It was actually based off of a game called "Powermanga" but resembles other shoot 'em up games as well

Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed it :D

Got to wave 200

Sounds strange.. The camera is supposed to be attached to the player.

Does it affect the gameplay a lot?

Thank you!!

Probably not, seeing as this was a school project and I don't have the project files anymore😅 sorry!

Thanks!! 🤩🙏

Thank you so much! :D

Thanks!! I use Godot game engine which has a built-in way to make a game build in a single file. Basically it embeds all the resources into the executable, that's all I know about it though.

If using Godot, just tick the box "Embed Pck" while exporting to win, linux, etc.

Thank you for these nice assets!

I used them in my game, with proper credits of course. :D

One of the best simulations I've seen on Itch!

Thanks a lot!

Yes, I made all the graphics myself using Aseprite.

Thank you! And yes, I made everything myself.

This jam is found at https://godotwildjam.com/

Other Godot jams can be found from the Itch game jams-page.

Thank you so much!!
