don't know what vns you've played, but i'll recommend you some of my favorites where i've really come to enjoy not only the characters but plot as well! hope you do end up checking out some :3

To Eat a God by Soffis_mbm ! it's my fav vn novel because it goes beyond just a romance game; the concept is spectacular, all the characters and their designs are unique, and the WORLDBUILDING simply pulls you in. it's a biggie but has lots of dif routes to explore ! :D i especially hope you give this one a play! <3

Watch the Road (DEMO) by mirawakestudios is a great one too. here, the writing and atmosphere really shine through, and if i had to describe it very briefly, it would be 'the nostalgia and melancholy we feel on cold, snowy nights. wouldn't you like to have a deep, long conversation with a stranger and spill your guts?' it's a really lovely (almost poetic) work in progress with lots of alternative endings too, so def worth a check out :3 !

The Winter Wedding by devilinlovegames has been a recent fav of mine - i've personally never seen the concept of the omegaverse used in a vn before so it really drew me in. it has mystery and horror elements with it and is set in a victorian gothic era so it's a very interesting work to check out! 

this one isn't a romance vn, but i'll just add it here because it's a masterpiece on its own: Do NOT Take This Cat Home by Pixeliminal. it's about taking (or not) a seemingly cute cat home. mixes cuteness with horror elements very well; the original music has similar vibes to weirdcore / liminal spaces AND has a very thoughtful and almost unexpected deep message at the end. 

would geniously love to hear what u think if u ever decide to check any of these out! anyways happy playing Dore :D

some constructive criticism, shall we? :)

the character designs are well-made; points to that. but story-wise, character-wise, and dialogue-wise, it is all lacking and, quite frankly, so mediocre that it turns playing this vn turns into an excruciatingly painful experience. to start off, the protagonist, 'us,' feels like a copy of the stereotypical y/n from those wattpad fanfics — overly emotionally reactive, unnecessarily enthusiastic, and almost...too girly (despite this being a supposedly gender-neutral MC?). it feels like the 'soft, delicate, small, and overly emotionally reactive girl protagonist' that if you yell a little too hard around her, she's gonna flinch out of her skin and start crying. if that's not enough, then comes the whole 'oh yeah i'm rich but i prefer to work a minimum-wage job because i want to feel independent hahaha :p oh and also my parents pay for my apartment and bills!! hehe >c<' bullshit (so much for being independent??)

??? like. when has a rich person EVER done or thought about this? this is just grossly inaccurate/unrealistic, and i can't help but feel there was a much better way to set up the mc's backstory that wasn't.... that. 

all the supporting characters in the game feel not only extremely one-dimensional and overly enthusiastic, but it feels like their sole purpose in the game is to serve / help the MC in some sort of way, rather than play an actual role in the game.

the diologue, -by far, the most excruciatingly painful thing to read here- is OVERWHELMINGLY repetitive. it follows a pattern of "[character says one line of dialogue]" (unnecessary description that brings nothing to the table) "[character says onother line of dialogue]" (another overwhelming and unnecessary description). 

it feels like eating a goddamn nothing-burger. we learn nothing new or useful of the world or its characters, as all the dialogue ever does is state the already obvious. one can get the same point of "feeling nervous and like someone was watching them; mc hurrendly ran to their apartment complex. but even as they made their way to safety and boarded the elevator, that uneasy feeling didn't quite leave them" without needing long and arduous lines that always feel repetitive and serve as nothing but fluff. 

if this game was a restaurant, id still leave starved. (also cue the "it's not just..." being used like 20+ times in the game; c'mon im sure if we put our thinking hats on here, we can come up with better diologue)

overall, although the concept/idea of this vn is unique and seems interesting, its poor execution takes everything away from it. can we please stop glazing this game just because it has a few hot characters and actually criticize it more constructively? that's all anyways

ahh enjoyed myself a lot with this one! everything from the gorgeous art, dialogue, music and the constant ominous feeling made this vn a joy to play <3 ALSO this is my first time seeing a vn use the concept of the omegaverse for its worldbuilding ?? i  was surprised and not sure whtat to expect but damn this turned out a banger.

loooved the witty responses and the humor in it, kept cracking up at random stuff. there's just too many good bits to choose a fav lmao all the characters have great appealing designs and all their personalities are charming in their own way

but my fav for sure has to be Bob. greedy little fuck though bro is lit mr. Krabs 2.0 like fwym we working for 6 bucks AN HOUR ? id cry during every shift if that were me

the art is in this vn is more than beutiful, i rlly like your style! the way you can see all the brushes and how softly the colors mingle together is so lovely. also the vn's ui and music choices are great <3 the only thing that felt off was the diologue, which came off stiff at times. felt there was more 'telling' than 'showing'

had a banger of a time playing this game tonight x3 (peak unemployment activities)

it was very fun trying to get all the different endings and unlocking the different dialogues/conversations. the art... paired with the music and writing, is almost,,, poetic ? i loved the mc and Iyan's deep conversations. reminded me of those deep convos you'll have with a friend at 2 am <33 gahh i rlly loved this one, thank you so much for all the hard work you poured into this novel! 

ps. jax reacting to the mc pouring salt into their drink was so cute and funny lol x3

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH *screams into the void*

your writing for this one is simply beautiful - from the dialogue and how it reflects the character's personalities, to the way you paint the scenery and tension. my fav part def has to be when we are walking through the fields; the way you wrote it is so serene and peaceful. "The wind seemed to carry your words away. In the rustling leaves and shifting grass, you could almost hear the world whisper back: Welcome home." but the poem when we walk through the abandoned town falls nothing short, you really cooked with the writing for this one chef 🔥🔥

also the plot itself - you can just tell this one is gonna be good. im hooked already, not to mention the tension and the mystery of it all, especially with the second LI. almost got jumpscared when i was playing it again but choosing to decline alsem's pendent (i felt bad but all for the sake of experiencing the story fully and all it has to offer lol)

if the full game vn is paid to play no choice but to start grinding and save up, im not missing on playing this banger 🔥🔥 anyways that is all, congrats on the demo release and all the hard work you obviously put into it! <3 wishing you good things ^0^

just finished the game ahhhhh

rlly hooked on the plot and the hidden meaning behind the rabbit carving and the wolf. loving the light horror and mystery elements on it so far <33 can't wait to see what else you cook up! 

words can't accurately describe how much i love this game. it was one of the very first itchio games i played so i think back on it from time to time, and a few days ago i decided to play it again - from scratch, all saves and progress deleted. and once again everything that captivated me about it the first time i played it, captivated me again. first of all, the art is ADORABLE (so is the cat but shh don't tell it that). cute and nice and clean - the music you chose for this is the same, i found myself liking it very much and how it matches the tone of the game quite well - like a mix of playfulness and it sort of reminds me of... weirdcore / liminal ? music which personally i love

NOW FOR THE GAME ITSELF AHHHHHH im so in love. getting the different endings was a lot of fun, very unique and creative too. i also found myself very drawn to the horror aspect of this game <3

now moving on to the cat and ending of the game - i actually found myself tearing up a bit, especially when we have a last conversation with it and it starts telling us that it loves us and to not leave it alone. because essentially,,, isn't it just like us?? lonely and alone. 

and the way we describe the following weeks after, of the doubts of our choices but ultimate relief that it's gone - AEHHHHHH TELL ME THAT ISN'T AN ALLEGORY FOR ESCAPING A TOXIC AND UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIP UGHHHHHH tears man. tears in my eyes holy shi

anyways thank you so much for creating this game, will always have a vv special place in my heart </3333

YOOOOOOOO i love this, im putting it on my top VNS list. moving on from the fact that the art and music is great, the STORY. i love how the writing carefully paints us of the life we shared with seto. also 18 years, middle school sweethearts. DAMN. 

nah cause if my partner of 18 years died id also crash tf out lmmao hanging on to sanity by a thread. also the very normal domestic things just have my heart, like remembering our favorite spoon and bowl ahhhhhh 

anyways so much more to say but you guys really cooked with this one 🔥🔥💯 the kitchen is burning in fact 💥💥

first of all - the character designs are STUNNING. the masses yearn for pretty boys with long hair and you guys delivered lmao the music is beautifully made too <3 so calming and soothing, def fits the vibes of the game. the art overall delicious and very eatable yum yum yum 

moving on to plot im,,, confused but also hooked. like when they started speaking about ehsas, essense and all that. also doesn't help they be speaking in riddles like brooo im not smart enough to get all of it just dumb it out for me or get me a whiteboard for a visual explinationnnnn
