fun for a short ride but seemed to lack depth. the variety of endings is nice, but the dialogue exchange between us and the characters feels rather,,, empty. it doesn't feel like we develop any sort of emotional connection with them before reaching an ending. also the mc's actions feel,,, too emotionally reactive-driven (himbo/bimbo vibes you could say), though that could just be a personal pet peeve of mine lol
thank you! i think so too. i see too many comments glazing and straight-up globering on games (mostly because the characters are hot) when in reality, the game and writing itself is not that,,,, it.
it doesn't help the devs either (especially not if they plan to further work and improve the game) if all they see is overly praise and no actual constructive criticism. i say we should share our honest, objective opinions with them more often.
Hello! Thank you so much for playing the game we appreciate it. This game wasn’t supposed to be anything serious. Just short and silly and a way for us to experiment with a different humorous writing style.
We were originally thinking about expanding on the game more, but we will most likely take it down because it seems like players have been having such strong mixed reactions which has caused a bit of stress on the team.
We always appreciate any constructive criticism, and we will keep it in mind for any new games we make in the future.
Thank you
NAURRRR please keep going it was so fun playing! Toe stealer is trying to steal your toes which is what they do please don't let them take your toes T-T. If it's a fun silly little game that y'all have made that's totally fine! If we're glazing and globbering all over man eating, world eradicating demons that y'all made in your free time PLEASE LET US OMGGG. Begging you to keep us fed and expand the storiesss. The world needs more silly and short games in these trying times and y'all are DELIVERING.
Hello Toe Stealer
I completely understand where you’re coming from, but this game was a fun project, nothing to take seriously.
I typically don’t respond to comments because criticism is valid. But effusive negative comments don’t do anything but hurt the team’s morale. This came across as insensitive and too abrupt.
It was a short game for a jam with time constraints. A perfectly polished game is hard to achieve with time limitations. Games are meant to be unique, holding their own self identity.
It’s okay if this game doesn’t satisfy what you’re looking for, but there are real people behind these games being developed, and I think you have to be mindful of that.
You’re talking to devs with outside lives, outside commitments, who work, go to school, and have real-life struggles.
Well-intentioned criticism is always welcome; a little more graciousness can go a long way, or using the rating system, rather than writing something akin to public shaming.
We are still learning and growing as game devs.

i of course understand that there are real-life people with obligations and a whole life of their own behind the work. and, thank you for taking the time to create it btw as someone who holds a lot of respect for artists, i appreciate it. yet i do not personally (and this could just be me lol) think my comment was a 'negative comment' or insensitive. i tried not to come off as mean or rude because i simply wanted to share my honest opinion. and i'll hold it wasn't so. but well, doesn't matter.
i do wish you guys the best for in the future with ur games :3
Toe stealerrrr. You have a right to your own opinion. It's just that if you're going for constructive feedback on a public platform and you respect artists' time and effort, you should be more kind. Especially when you didn't pay a cent towards development. And it's not up to you to decide if your words have hurt another or not. If you're gonna be out here thanking them for making the game and saying you understand developers are real-life people with real-life responsibilities, maybe your review should reflect that. The reason why positive reviews can be short and "glaze" a story or its characters as you put it is because they're gassing up somebody's baby. If you're gonna look at somebody's newborn and do any form of criticism, you've gotta come correct. You've got to establish that you recognize all the long hours and labor and work that went into that delivery before fixing your fingers to say the baby's ears look funny. And if for some reason after your reflection you still feel it pertinent to criticize that proud parent AND their freshly delivered baby, it is your responsibility to make sure that criticism is not only productive but gentle.
I think the game is fun and that y'all are doing a great job exploring game development techniques and trying out new things. You could be the sweetest silly little game with demon man titties on the block but if toe stealer is looking for unpaid labor, time, and effort transformed into a game that pleases them specifically then they will be unsatisfied. Please continue to create silly little fun games
