If you stick to GDScript you have to actually *try* to make it not just work on all platforms :) You could probably do an HTML5 export and it would just work too! :D

Can confirm also, works great! Thanks!

Yes! I'm running the equivalent of doing that right now. If you want to send it to me first for testing I'd be happy to give it a spin as an extra test though!

Hey! I'm a developer of the Godot engine (I'm on the Project Leadership Committee) and since you're using a completely unmodified version of the engine (3.2.3-stable.official) and this is a 2D game doing a normal Linux/X11 export should just work. In fact this is how I'm playing it now! (A user can also manually replace the .exe with the Linux version locally without needing the sources to the game)

It still might be nice to offer on itch for people who bought it and don't know this is easily possible?

So far everything works! Small polishing issues here and there but it works! And it's fun! :D

Thanks a lot! I just downloaded it, super excited! :D

Ugh, do you have any idea what if anything you did differently? I'm still stuck there.

Restoring from a save and trying again made it work. This time I didn't try to make rooter leave the room but just kind of moved to the edge of the screen. Previously rooter walked back from off screen, presumably to get swiped by the alien, but that didn't happen.

I also got into this situation somehow :)

After completing the puzzle for the second time after a restart pressing the 'exit' button seems to hang the game entirely. It's been more than a minute now. Music is still playing and there's a lot of CPU activity but not a lot else.

EDIT: it did eventually exit, but the puzzle didn't work. All of the debris is cleaned off of the board and all chips are in place but I can't seem to be able to remove the microchip.

I have a similar issue now, mouse cursor has disappeared. There's skip cutscene button but it doesn't work, the exit button no longer works either.

After jumping down the hole and shocking the alien walking off screen just causes rooter to jump in place with an occasionally spinning cursor. The game is softlocked at this point and no further progress can be made. I'll restore from a save.

Judging by another question you asked you have a golden item already. Maybe if you misuse it with a device that it goes in you could... get some shavings?

Is there anything that looks AU to you in the office?

saving in the upstairs room does work.

I have no more information than anyone else here, but reading all of the official responses I think they are currently working on the bug(s) around the nanobot puzzle. It wouldn't make much sense for them to release another beta without that fixed as they wouldn't really get any new bugreports that way anyway.

I would expect a new build once they've worked that one out. Again, this is pure speculation, but it is what I'd do in their shoes. And I make video games for a living :)

Do you want an explanation of how to get all 6? I can put it in here if you'd like.

Sounds like you got further than anyone else! I'm sure they'll fix this in the next beta.

Thank you! The difference between debug and release builds, always a fun time! :D good luck.

I'm glad I could add a little bit of positivity to your day! You certainly added some to mine. Thank you.

I think nobody has gotten further than that. I'm assuming that that's just broken now. Hopefully there will be a build 3 soon! :)

Ignoring all the bugs I've encountered so far, the parts of the game I was able to see were a lot of fun. I enjoy that there's a general sense of there being 'more' to the world, and it's been a lot of fun to get to know Ace. The narrator is very funny and the world feels delightfully wacky.

I can't wait for build 3, hopefully I'll be able to get past the rooter repair part then and continue to explore! <3

Saving in the other rooms does work!

I've tried this now on Windows 10 and also Linux/Wine and the same thing happens. There also appear to be no bugreports about anything further than this point so I suspect that this part of the game just isn't beatable at all yet. I'll wait for build 3 :)

Were you ever able to proceed past this puzzle? that is completing it and moving on?

I think I did everything (Positioned all the hex chips, all the traces show green with the probe bot) exiting the minigame never happens. The music keeps playing but nothing happens further.

I think it's because I fixed a trace before I measured it. The damage is gone but the trace remains red, and the bot won't solder any further. Exiting the puzzle crashes the game.

You need to put in a soldering material. Before I figured that out the game also crashed for me

I tried exiting after positioning all the chips but without soldering (I wanted to save) but this crashed the game as well.

Ace keeps saying things like "Don't need it", even when you do the right thing. Like taking the space sickness pills he will say "This won't work here" as it is working. It appears that nearly none of the voice lines are correct.

Strings are printed like "Don't be the guy that touched anything" which aren't voiced, I assume this is supposed to be the narrator.

I redid the escape pod sequence and this time I saved over all of my save slots. All of them again start me over in the escape pod. I'll try deleting all but one saves and see if that maybe helps? Perhaps overwriting the saves doesn't work.

I saved after starting chapter 2 but restoring gets me back to the escape pod.

I'm not entirely sure what happened but I exited the lab and ace walked right back through the door into the lab. At this point it wasn't possible to progress into the lab nor was it possible to open the door. A save/load fixed it.

When running the game on a 4K resolution the mouse cursor and certain UI elements (the text in the bottom left during the intro for instance) is very small.
