Hi!
I REALLY like your work and am happy with this package, so I don't wanna sound like a jerk lol but I have one specific piece of feedback:
Because you mirrored a lot of animation frames horizontally, this means the character is switching hands for the weapon. Maybe some people don't mind the sword-wielder being ambidextrous, but I find myself redrawing some of the frames to keep the handedness consistent lol (and, notably, to make it clear the frames haven't simply been mirrored).
If you ever come back to this set, I'd love to see that implemented, but great job either way of course.
Thanks!
I did have some fleeting thoughts for a while on expanding the mechanics (some light level progression, some kind of added enemy/obstacle/hazard challenges, etc.) before moving onto other projects. Might be worth revisiting as a 'notebook session' one night to brainstorm how it could be made compelling while keeping the simple charm.
I'm open to ideas! Glad you've enjoyed it in any form so far. :)
Hey, thank you! :)
And you're right, that's not the most player-friendly place for it to be... apologies for maybe adding some further eye strain there, whoops. Unfortunately I'm not sure of a good workaround myself, though someone else said they resized their browser window and dragged it down lower on their screen.
I made a browser game. It's a 2D platformer. It has one level, and a timer. You play with your keyboard.
And the entire thing takes place within a box that's 64 x 64 pixels.
It's called Lilli, and I invite you to play it now!

Hi!
This is my first textgame, written in Twine, and I'm hearing that it works much better on desktop than mobile...
That being said, it's a silly little thing, a breezy one-sitting playthrough, an exercise in whim and whimsy.
You play the part of a spider. But you are no ordinary spider; you are optimistic, and ready for adventure! Or, at least, whatever adventure you can have within a seemingly ordinary house.
You can play it here -- https://nintendolegend.itch.io/spider -- thanks!
